Drago is too nice on the feet. He will dispatch Shoey Boy with ease. Bye bye Bam Bam!

Tai's knockdown of Gane is exactly why this fight is interesting.

Volkov will jab his face and teep his gut, probaby land some lead headkick as well. But Tai can go inside and land that looping right hand. The same looping right hand that Lewis gor Volkov with.

Volkov is not good against punches, that's his biggest weakness. Chin high, no guard, no head movement. His only defense his being very tall and fighting from far away. Get inside boxing range against him and he panics.

Footsniffa is hoping to pull a Lewis like KO. It is HW after all, and one punch power is the defining feature of this weight class. I might be the one person who wants top see Pav-Volkov after this.

If you mean superior movement relative to Tai, sure. But if this is a more general claim (just my interpretation of your claim of "elite HW"), I really must disagree here. Volkov does have dangerous outside work, but he's a plodder with relatively unsophisticated movement. He looked like he was fighting in molasses against Gane and Aspinall. Assuming strong outside work entails elite movement is a mistake here; Volkov is just so huge he gets away with it, and to his credit, uses shots that celebrate his physical gifts.

I'm going Volkov, too, but this aspect of your post was a bit hyperbolic imo. Tai still might be able to catch him if he can get in

Hopefully, watching a man drink from a used shoe is pretty fucking disgusting but that's men in general from that area of the world.

I tend to agree. Volkov SHOULD win this, though Tai can crack with the best of them, so I can't say it with too much confidence.

I don’t see this as being a wash, UberVolkov never was… Alex has gone into fights before as the more skilled striker and attempted to finesse his way to a win, in which things went wrong. Tai definitely isn’t going to be afraid to engage in a firefight, if anything he’s the type of fighter who Volkov needs to be weary of. The technical brawler who is willing to take one to give one that has big power, although in Volkov’s favor, the longer it goes the better, Tuivasa’s doesn’t appear to carry that power later into the fight.

IMO 65/35 in favor of Alex, however Tai is a live dog.

Volkov has “the tools to beat almost anyone at HW” but we know from history it doesn’t always go down like that.

he SHOULD win, but far from a guarantee.

A guy like Tuivasa always stands a chance, yes he is up against it for sure but his kind of power can end anyone at anytime.

Volk is SUPPOSED to Win

But Tai has a Puncher's Chance (an overhand coming from nowhere etc)

Check what happened VS Derrick Lewis

My Man Alexander got it done, although not in the way I expected! He was getting the better of Tai on the feet but I did say I thought he was better than Tai on the ground as well and he has obviously been working hard on that aspect of his game. Great gameplan from Volkov and his team and I'm looking forward to seeing more of this versatile offence!
