Dr Disrespect Banned From Twitch

What are you talking about, Gear? That article @offshore33 shared was the first thing we've seen from an official news source that clarified the most important two details that had gone unanswered. He emboldened all the key passages.
  1. Was Doc "sexting" her? Not just flirting, which could be the most innocent interpretation of "veering into the inappropriate", but was he sending her outright sexually explicit messages?
  2. More importantly, did he know she was a minor, and did he continue the above knowing this?

The answer to both was yes. Stick a fork in him. Doc's done as a public personality.

Saw this post right as the debate started & I'll read through what @offshore33 posted and post tomorrow.

Bloomberg posted a article on Tuesday outlining the same. Problem is its behind a paywall.

I was talking about information shared in this thread. However, the Bloomberg article doesn't say anything about him knowing ths she was a minor, brushing that off, then continuing to chat with her. Also, the Bloomberg article is referenced directly in the Rolling Stone article itself.

It was referenced but worded strangely in the Bloomberg article.

Would suggest being wary of Slasher(Rod Breslau). He basically tried and failed to become Travis Gafford of Activision/Blizzard after being ostracized out of the space by all gaming and esport journalists.

It was not. It's not a matter of being "strangely worded". There is nothing in the article which indicates he persisted in sexually explicit texts with her after learning she was a minor.

Why is this being politicized? I never once heard Doc get political on stream. He was never a political personality to me.

The only political reference he ever made of which I was aware was discussed early in this thread, surrounding the personality David Icke, a famed conspiracy theorist, and shamed him for platforming the man. As I wrote at the time, I found that comical, because as I pointed out, Amazon, the parent company of Twitch, was at that very moment selling a documentary about Icke summarized as: "The first authorized documentary exploring the life of famed conspiracy theorist David Icke, the ‘mad man’ who has been proved right again and again." So it's not an issue of platforming. But I am (as I was) unfamiliar with Icke, I guess he's one of those crazy Jews-run-the-world lizard order guys, but I don't associate that with the American political left or political right. Even when I think of Neo-Nazis, I don't think of guys who rant about alien lizard cabals. They're pretty focused on Jews and non-whites who aren't Christian. I associate this Icke craziness only with conspiracy theorists who hate Israel and the Jews.

*Edit* Oh, concerning politics, it was also noted back when this thread was first made:

Is that a lie? Did we learn the woman's age?

I don't even watch this goober and I can pull up multiple instances of him being political. He cried like a giant baby about star field having pronouns, he got all political when crying about Hassan, and he got political with the nick mercs shit. Even mercs rattled off that he she I identify as a helicopter bullshit in his first video where he 'defended' him. For absolutely no reason unprovoked.

And the reality is is that the goobers who are defending him somehow believed that this is a political hit job ... Dogs being framed and dragged down because politically he's conservative and says a punch of instigating shit.

Good lord.

There's now new, unconfirmed allegations from a trans streamer who dropped a bunch of dm logs as proof that her and doc were sexting. They haven't been confirmed yet but if this ends up being true it's like the icing on the cake ... After all the pronoun shit talking (I'm not trying to make this political or make this about pronouns I just think it's hilarious if this ends up being true that doc was railing against pronouns) . Not to mention how bad it'll devastate all his weirdo loser fans.

I think we're gonna see a dog pile of accusations now that will need to be vetted for validity. Apparently he had a trans dude do cam shows for him or some shit? Hope his wife leaves him and takes everything

I dont know what I hope for. I guess maybe that he's held accountable for his questionable actions instead of being handed millions of dollars.

This whole episode has made me lose even more faith in people. There’s this streamer called Sneako and a clip of him is going viral saying that the age of consent should change to when a girl goes through puberty or looks mature. People just going mask off after this, scary because I had no idea so many guys thought like this.

What world do you live in my guy? And im not saying this to be rude/a dick - but shit like this has been going on since the beginning of time, and we literally have a crazy :eek::eek::eek: thing in the world every day/week. Men. Are. Terrible. And im saying that as a guy. And guess what - women can be terrible too - but were kinda leading the pack here. This is why its so fucking important to establish exacly what side everyone is on in this situation. Id be concerned for the women family members of any man who wouldnt just outright condemn thing.

I think Leonardo Decaprio is a fucking weirdo. *shrug* he's managed to mostly stay out of the limelight for dating people that could be his grand daughters because he keeps a low profile. But man, how any man with a daughter can look at that and not be absolutely fucking creeped out is beyond me. And im not a age gap bigot - but its pretty clear when 'love' just happened and when a creepy fucking wannabe :eek::eek::eek: is targeting a certain kind of women.

Thats why what Doc did isnt ok. There is no 'leaned into' or 'almost' in this situation.

Well he seemed cocksure about still streaming after his "extended vacation" but that was before the rolling stone article.

Gonna need you to elaborate on this. You seem to be outright exaggerating.

I was aware of the Starfield backlash from gamers, but I was oblivious to Doc's role in it, so I Googled it. All the results that turned up directed me to this clip. He was apparently upset he was denied early access to the game by Bethesda that all the other streamers of his status received. This is what "cried like a giant baby about star field having pronouns" looks like to you?

It's spelled Hasan, and the Hasan drama is the Nick Mercs drama. That was a streamer spat, and Doc is friends with Nick Mercs, who also actually plays games. Hasan is the political personality. Doc merely supported Mercs when Activision-Blizzard removed his skins from the game because Mercs suggested in a reply to a tweet that children should be left out of LGBTQ+ gender identity theory curriculum discussions at the elementary school level. Doc didn't wade into the politics of it, he only said he would boycott the game until Mercs skins were restored, indicating he didn't think Mercs had said something so hateful it warranted ostracizing him professionally. Hasan jumped in with a cheap shot saying that Doc was more loyal to Mercs than to his wife. Doc shot back calling him a phony. To my knowledge, Doc wasn't making grand political diatribes on the issue, or being a champion of policies pertaining to the issue on the political right.

Did someone in this thread suggest it was a political hit job because he was conservative? Where are you getting that?

This is the most overtly political tweet I ever saw from him that dates back to the height of the George Floyd protests.

It was not.

The reasons for his banishment from Twitch were never given, but three people with knowledge of the matter said Beahm was removed because he exchanged sexually explicit messages with a minor through the service’s direct chat feature. He also asked a minor about her plans at the TwitchCon convention, according to two of the people, who asked not to be identified discussing such a sensitive matter.

Again, that isn't a "strangely worded" confirmation he knew she was a minor, and continued to message her with that knowledge.

That detail was broke by the Rolling Stone article.

Slasher ran with it in his Rolling Stone article for Bloomberg already independently confirmed it a few days earlier. For further context one constant criticism of Slasher throughout his career was lacking basic ethical standards in his reporting. Which is exactly what he did in his 2020 tweet about the reasoning behind Docs Twitch ban.

I don't know how many different ways to say this. The Bloomberg report doesn't say anything about him continuing to sext her after knowing she was a minor. That is nowhere in the full text of the article. It isn't even implied.
