Dr Disrespect Banned From Twitch

It was always unsolicited and never reciprocated, lol.

I don’t care. I don’t watch him. I don’t understand why people would watch something like a twitch stream for more than a few minutes to see a game they were thinking about buying. But O’m sure people will claim some kind of grave injustice has occurred.

Has there been any word on the legitimacy of the leaked e-mail? If its in any way legitimate, it makes it seem like its all smoke, no fire.

So she was 17, but he didn't know that when he was texting her about what appears to have been a business endeavor on Doc part's where he was trying to get into a service that taught others who to grow their own Twitch channel? And he wasn't "sexting" her at all?

Holy smokes, that would change things, immensely. He wouldn't even be a bad guy irrespective of wrongdoing. Because not only is he innocently talking to someone about the trade, not knowing her age, but this wouldn't even be an instance of him running around on his wife, again.

And the assholes at Twitch were reading his private messages because they had a vendetta against him over that silly bathroom incident years ago? Are you kidding me?

Yeah, if this email is true, Dr. D is vindicated, completely.

It doesn't seem to line up with Dr D's confession at all. He didn't claim it was a misunderstanding of some business conversation he was having. He basically says the opposite of that. He specifically says that it was a casual conversation that became inappropriate. "These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more."
He also admits that he "fucked up," which wouldn't make sense if the email was accurate.

I don't watch twitch and I've never heard of this guy. I know Asmondgold, but only from youtube. Isn't twitch where Amoranth is?

But this thread seems to be very active. Can someone give me a rundown on who he is and what happened? Almost every comment seems to be referring to stuff and/or people with which I'm unfamiliar

Apparently this is common. A FFXIV streamer named Xeno apparently groomed a minor and the second she turned 18, flew out and fucked her, gaming has a dark side to it's culture

Streamers getting creepy with underage fans or cheating on their gfs etc... happens all the time. There's like a sub-industry on youtube, tons and tons of drama channels whose entire existence is covering this kind of stuff. Every week throws up plenty of content for them. Although it must be said, obviously sometimes there are bullshit false allegations that get thrown around too (In this case, I have been a fan of the Doc but based on his reactions he seems guilty as hell)

Dr Disrespect is a very popular streamer with millions of followers. Years ago, back when he was getting really big he signed a contract with Twitch, they were paying him to stream exclusively with them. But midway through, out of the blue, Twitch deleted his channel and their relationship was over (This was in like 2020). It was a shock to everyone, and no one had any idea what had happened between them, with neither party saying much of anything. It became one of the great mysteries of the streaming community. Fast forward to now and a former Twitch employee alleges it was because he had been caught sexting a 17 year old

Of course

All of this is just very fucking unfortunate. I like watching video game streams including the Doc's, because even though it's often loud as shit, it somehow helps me fall asleep.

I really liked the guy but if it turns out he knew he was texting a minor, I couldn't support it. It doesn't look good that he didn't address the fact if he knew she was a minor or not.

But what's even more unfortunate is seeing the amount of vengeful, pitchfork wielding, clout chasing, soulless degenerates on Twitter or other social media that condemned him before his statement even came out. That and all the slimy little cunts at Twitch that were going after him because of personal shit. Absolutely disgusting weaklings.

It's clear that the status quo is now "guilty until proven innocent".

The dude has millions of dollars locked up and he feels the need to chat virtually with teens fml. Mid thirties. Married. Child/Children too.

Money makes people bored imo. Constantly pushing the boundaries of what they'll do next.

Ah, that's right. That's a good point.

Yeah it's most unfortunate for the wife and kid(s). Already she gave him a second chance by making him address his cheating on Twitch, which appeared to be very heartfelt. Now this comes out and she shitshow starts anew where she will be second guessing what else he's swept under the rug.

The kids are really the ones I feel sorry for. They are going to catch shit for this in school. The wife at least can leave him and take millions with her.

Fair point.

Former Twitch staffer speaks out:

Doc back in 2017 was apparently trying to stick his dick into everything:

Man, this whole thing blows. Been a fan of Doc for some years now. Guy is entertaining AF. The real sticking point, with all we know now, is whether he knew the person was a minor or not at the time. Him not mentioning this specific point is very concerning. I really don't want this shit to be true, but it looks like it might be.

Doc back in 2017 was apparently trying to stick his dick into everything:

Not really surprising to me once I found out he cheated before. I grew up in a family full of men who cheated. The men from my country are known for this and my wife was warned several times about me because of it.

From what I've seen most cheaters don't stop because they get caught. I'm not saying it doesn't happen I've just never personally known a cheater to stop after getting caught. The only thing I've ever seen get someone to stop is when it gets turned around on them and they get made to look like a fool publicly with someone they love. It's the only thing that stopped me and one of my cousins who was even worse than me.
