Dr Disrespect Banned From Twitch

lol, he has 500k viewers watching him live right now, says he still doesn't know why he was banned.

He knows why he was banned. There's way too much money on the table for him to make a small mistake that Twitch's lawyers can use against him.

Hes live on yt right now with 300k+ viewers. This was a publicity stunt methinks

This is unwarranted cynicism. If it was a stunt to net viewers in a move to other platforms Twitch would have denied banning him. They certainly wouldn't let a lie that leaves them holding the bag go unchecked.

Yeah, this wasn’t a publicity stunt. Twitch wouldn’t have banned him as part of anything other than an actual banning.

I'm saying he wasn't banned at all and is claiming he was. Took down his own emotes and refunded his subs.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure Twitch would clarify things, if he was smearing them. Now, if he shows back up on Twitch after all this, I could maybe entertain that it was a joint effort.

If he wasn’t banned Twitch would have said he wasn’t banned instead of making a statement about strictly enforcing their policies.

He didn't say he didn't know the reason, or didn't have a suspicion. He said that Twitch gave him no reason for the ban.

He may be considering legal action against Twitch, and because of that, lawyers may have informed him it's prudent to not say anything.

This is my best guess. Doc is probably looking into a lawsuit got breach of contract or something.

Strangest part is Slasher said originally "that Doc was done streaming on all platforms".

Maybe getting banned was the only way out of his contract and he thinks he can make more money solo

Or, gets paid for streaming on YT plus the tons of views on the videos he posts. Its like a double revenue stream.

I didn't even know who Doc was until the ban. Now he's doing collabs with the King of YouTube

Have to say I don't get streamers and why they're so popular, but the Doc has some high quality production so I get why he's so popular.

Doc is far more entertaining than 99% of "Let's goooo" streamers who all act the same, say the same things "lets goooo" and whose fans are the most sheep like people youd ever meet.

Doc is a throwback 90's pro wrestling esque character who appeals mostly to people from that era

Theres a lot more that goes into his act than what most streamers do, hes a lot more talented in that aspect

"lets go" always made me cringe. Glad someone agrees

That's because he's the only guy who seems to understand it's his job to be an entertainer. He embraces this role and has created an amazing character that is always putting on a show. All these others streamers are just dudes in their bedroom playing videogames, or girls working as glorified camwhores who don't want to admit they're virtual strippers (if not outright pornstars).

Nobody in show business has to put out as much content. I remember when I was younger everyone would talk about how talk show hosts and late night hosts were the hardest working people in show business because they had to put out a new show every day nearly all year long. They have to put a lot into that one hour a night, but Doc is putting out some 30-50 hours a week. It's gotta be draining to don a persona that enduringly.

Also, LMFAO at the song at the beginning of that video.

That 1st paragraph of yours is probably the most accurate assessment of streamer culture I've read.

That Pewdiepie-Doc stream was the 1st thing of Doc's I've seen (popped up on my app when it was live). I switched between both streams (Pewd's/Doc's), the graphics, backgrounds, green screen stuff, intros for Doc are all quality you really don't see on YouTube/Twitch. Like high level stuff no one else is doing. Actually dig the musical choices as well lol.

Lol, just turned on YouTube and Doc is live watching Bloodspot playing more hilarious music.
