Pretty sure the Brime thing is a troll. It does make sense he’s partnering up with Spotify though. Twitch caught wind and just cut ties with him?

What’s discord have to do with it? They sponsor people? That doesn't explain why Discord dropped him though.
I recall someone on here saying Summit got some flack to about his wife leaving him cause he is a pothead. Who cares lol he can do what he wants he is an adult.

Discord dropped him as well at the same time, they didn't drop him as a reaction to the Twitch news. Discord is involved some how. If he was forming or joining a different streaming platform, why would Discord drop him at the same time?

We may never know why he got banned. He already made a statement claiming he doesn't know why he got banned... when he obviously does.
Hrmm true.!Discord dropped him as well at the same time, they didn't drop him as a reaction to the Twitch news. Discord is involved some how. If he was forming or joining a different streaming platform, why would Discord drop him at the same time?
True, he definitely knows. This isn’t like getting banned from Sherdog.

Anybody with half a brain, and as much money/influence as DrDisrespect, should be trying to launch their own independent platform.
Can't really feel sorry for the guy, regardless of whether it turns out that he has committed a grave offense or not. When you subject yourself to the whims of the corporations, utilizing their platform, the chances are that you're eventually going to be tossed away like trash. Sometimes just as "collateral damage".
It's no different for all the regular dudes out there, working for the "big boys". You might work 15 to 20 years for a company, and suddenly you're just gone. Not even so much as a "thank you" for your services.

why do people think it’s super easy to create your own platform? Look at mixer... they tried and failed and had MS backing them. You think if dingleberry Dr disrespect made his own it would flourish?
Amen to that. Haven't been on Facebook in years, have no desire to go back.I really hope Facebook isn't the play, unless you can sign up a fan account or some shit. I don't watch much streaming, but I don't plan on signing up for Facebook if I get the itch.
Sad but oh so true. These days the basis behind it could be nothing more than your demographic.
Seriously, when other major tech corporations are failing, that should tell you something. Just building all the technology would be a massive undertaking, and all that effort would be to build an island of your own irrelevance because the axioms of business also apply in the virtual space. In other words, Twitch is the shopping mall of streaming platforms. Why does it cost a fortune to rent a tiny space in the same lot?why do people think it’s super easy to create your own platform? Look at mixer... they tried and failed and had MS backing them. You think if dingleberry Dr disrespect made his own it would flourish?
From everything I've seen his character was politically neutral outside of his recent donations, which don't suggest any idealogical conflicts with Twitch or its parent company.Nobody's saying it's going to be easy. But if it's a choice between having no platform or trying to create a platform of your own, then the choice should be obvious.
There's not a chance in hell anybody's going to make a long-term living on Twitch, especially playing a character like DrDisrespect, when you have transgender deer-kin people making decisions on who gets to stay on that platform and who doesn't. You have to be a realist and acknowledge that you're going to get booted eventually, the only question is "when?"
Wanting to keep a user's history for user to speak on, I'll say that he largely saw himself out with giving Staff an ultimatum where we need see to his vision for a sub's content or close his account; he aired as much on-board pre-hammer but we in sum opted for the latter. The forum arm of the site is unique in that we've tens of thousands of users but still all these years on still feel much a community that is homey, small, or neighbourly; following, we can't as a best practice entertain individual demands so if someone offers up their neck as terms, that's on them. We work with everyone as best we can.Speaking of, why did OverPressure get banned?
