Dr Disrespect Banned From Twitch

Who da fuck is you to be getting that info?
That info is from this thread, if you'd bother to pay attention to it.

Are you part of the Midnight Society management? Are you paying the good Dr? You're not entitled to any info.
As far as you know there's no info at all.

Midnight Society has claimed they've done their own investigation and dropped him because of it. So there might be some merit to these allegations now. Either that or they're looking at a lawsuit in the works. If the Dr is innocent then it's easy extra money in the bank. That's assuming he also doesn't nail them on a legal technicality.

So you're claiming that there's info... that MS knows but you don't.

Wow. Thank you for being so valueable to the discussion.

3:11:30ish if the timestamp doesnt work

Typically how a gaming live streamer fights such allegations is by continually streaming. Having their moderator team heavily sensor any mention of it. Those who abruptly retire do so for they know their connections within the gaming space are forever severed.

If your employee in a public facing role has serious allegations levied against them, and you ask them, hey, I wanna ask you directly, is there anything we need to worry about. And that employee's response is "it's been settled and no wrongdoing was acknowledged," would you think the allegations were baseless?

I can't see any legal reason that would bar him from just saying "no, these are false accusations and I am innocent."

There's nothing baring him from saying it even if he was guilty, so there's no point in saying it at all.

As of now its pretty obvious he's in 'legal-defense mode' meaning he's doing exactly what his lawyers tell him to do, which probably is the whole reason why he's not streaming for now.

@Law Talkin’ Guy You're a lawyer, any commend on this situation? Your input would be valuable.

The point is if I have an employee who is accused of sexting a teenager, saying "I admitted no fault" is almost damning

I should note The Verge had an anonymous source that corroborated the claim, so it's no longer just one person saying he did something wrong.

I suspect the main legal reason would be to avoid digging a hole any deeper and being found to have been dishonest later. Which is again, very much not what I want to see if I were an employer.

It seemed really likely when he was banned from twitch years ago he had done something chat related since he was also dropped from discord without explanation at the same time.

I know the story is about twitch whispers, but if he's sexting minors on twitch's website then his discord logs must be pretty wild.

He would have been better served by simply stating the case forced him into a contract that limits his speech in order to give a proper response. What he said there doesn't look good at all.
Don’t follow this story but yeah, you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Regarding responses. If you cannot really say what’s up, you will look secretive, and people will assume you’re hiding something. Best to not respond at all imo

Dr.Disrespect is apolitical as far as I know.

For the most part he is on stream. He's dropped hints over the years of being into alternative medicine and most recently supporting crypto based gaming.

Alternative medicine roots are from communal type societies that are left leaning. It was hijacked over the last couple of years by the MAGA right for its basis is founded on being anti-establishment.

Yeah, I get that, and you're free to believe that is somehow an admittion of guilt, but realistically he's in 'legal-defense mode.'

In the same way we don't know what evidence there is to justify firing him from his own company, we don't know why he's in 'legal-defense mode.'

Maybe we'll find out more in the future, maybe we won't.

'An anonymous source.'
{<diva}
Holds no relevance whatsoever.

My knowledge of the law extends to taking a few classes in high school, following numerous criminal & civil cases over the years, and watching YouTube videos hosted by experienced lawyers... so I'm a hobbiest at best.

That's why I tagged an actual lawyer here on Sherdog to provide an educated & unbiased opinion.

'An anonymous source.'

Why would an anonymous source not hold relevance? Many critical journalist stories through the decades used anonymous sources, and the merits of them should be judged case by case. In other words, what leads you to think this reporter is fabricating a source and risking career suicide? Do they have a history of shoddy work or poor fact checking, etc.?

I'm aware, I'm just pointing out the contortions you would need to do to argue that somehow, there is a legal agreement barring someone from claiming innocence for a matter.

Just a little alternative medicine?

Dude used his last minutes on Twitch to plug David Icke, lmao.

Whatever he's into is much worse than some alternative medicine.

You and I have had many discussions over the years about many subjects. I know for a fact you are not dumb.

Many critical journalist stories through the decades used anonymous sources,
Yeah, when they completely make shit up.

In other words, what leads you to think this reporter is fabricating a source and risking career suicide?

Because its impossible to prove the reporter doesn't have an anonymous source, so the chances of 'career suicide' are also impossible.

Nothing to lose & everything to gain.

Which is why I'm asking for tangible evidence.
Do they have a history of shoddy work or poor fact checking, etc.?
Never heard of the reporter before so they could be a clinical liar for all I know.

Contortions?
Its more like when someone claims innocence they're asked to do it again, and then again, and one more time after that. And then when they don't THATs when its an admittion of guilt.

You all can start sharpening your pitchforks if you want, I'm going to wait all of this out so more concrete evidence is dropped, rather than reaching with the 'Well he hasn't CLAIMED he's innocent' smooth-brain reasoning.

Whatever he's into is much worse than some alternative medicine.

Point was he seemed to hide most of it from his live streams with the rare occasion of it slipping. Him promoting buying specific rocks to protect himself and his family from 5G was enough, lol.

Well getting fired and then quitting YouTube is no way to appear innocent bahahaha

Did he cut his stream short?

He was in the middle of streaming Elden Ring and i saw some short clip of him reading on his desk (maybe an ipad or phone) and then he was quiet for a while. He seemed visibly disturbed so the assumption was he found out that he got dropped from his video game company.

I posted this earlier:

3:11:40ish if the timestamp doesn't work. Just after beating an Elden Ring DLC boss he reads something and his whole demeanor changes. He gives some half hearted shoutouts to donations and subs. Then he says he's fatigued. Also says he's been planning on taking an extended vacation and might do that sooner than he'd intended. Also talks about quitting his job and retiring to Costa Rica (google their age of consent for some laughs.)

I don't know, can you? Lol

Roughly six months ago the moderation here was quite offhanded with such 'War Room topics' infecting this non-political subforum. Its reached a tipping point recently that users have grown tired of this usual perpetrator. So much so that their hypocrisy is actively being called out on a daily basis here.

Only after this started happening did the moderation team actively begin enforcing this being a non-political subforum. While the moderation aspect may not be true. It does come across as protecting one individual feelings who caused this from the beginning and continues to instigate it here across all non-War Room subforums.
