Double standard: Daley's Sucker Punch vs Conors Bus Assault on entire card

Except a black man tops them all for being a terrible human and getting coddled by the ufc. Jon Jones crashes into a pregnant woman, flees the scene only to return to grab a fist full of cash and probably some coke and is allowed to compete again. Let’s not even get into the other stuff he’s done and he will be back soon. It’s all about the money dude.

Rampage also received special treatment. Dana flew his private jet and bailed his ass out when Rampage went on a rampage and sideswiped that pregnant lady's car and ran from police.

Question for readers. Which in your humble opinion is worse.

A fighter Sucker punching after bell
or
A fighter and his gang assaulting a bus full of fighters causing serious injuries

Both are horrible acts. Dana White gave onr of these fighters a lifetime ban. The other no such talks. Which is more deserving of that?

It is a double standard? Sure. But its a necessary double standard. Conor's a FAR greater asset to the UFC than Paul Daley. So as a result, he has more leeway than Paul. Thats just how it is. I don't know how people don't see this.

If you're implying that it's racial, then it's possible that it could be the case as well. But theres a much greater argument against that. Jon Jones has done all kinds of crazy shit, and I guarantee the UFC is fighting for him NOT to get a 4 year ban after testing positive a second time, along with all his other incidents. And it's because he's a great asset to the company along with Conor.

Jones did that, AND failed for cocaine, and got into a scuffle with DC at a press conference, AND popped, for PEDs.

Yet he is still in the ufc.

Black privelage.

Once again, one is during an event, the other is outside of that event. Its like getting wasted and fighting at the bar vs doing it at work.

The setting plays a factor.

And ill clarify, i don't even think Daley would get fired if he did that today. But back then it was a different time and UFC hadnt built the "legitimate" reputation they have now, so there was more sensitivity to those actions.
What are you talking about? Conor's was in the Event too. He had to get his goons to let him in the "event". They weren't at some night club in Dublin. lol

No, it was not during an athletic commission event. The commission isnt in effect when the guys are on the bus. They are when the guys are in the ring. You seriously can't tell the difference?

Like I said, if you can't see the difference, you are willfully ignorant.

TS stop watching MMA if you don't know the answer

Life isn't fair. In Daley's case, firing him was more valuable to the company than keeping him.

I'm not sure which events the commission cover but Jones and Cormier had a commission hearing over their pre-fight scuffle nd they fined Conor and Nate for throwing cans at the press conference

perks of being a big draw worth millions, life ain't fair always been that way

You think Daley was bad, Jason High got cut for this.

Nah, his rich privilege did all the work before his white privilege kicked into gear.
The race-baiting is ridiculous.White Privilege didn't seem to help Leslie Smith.

It's about image, not severity. Doing something that makes the company/sponsors/venue look bad live on a UFC hosted PPV event is a serious problem. It's easier for the UFC, and everyone affiliated with them, to detach themselves from what Conor did.

And also, the obvious bit that Conor and Daley aren't even in the same universe regarding their importance to the company. Honestly, trying to call out preferential treatment is kind of pointless. Anyone with even a shred of common sense already realizes that's how the world works.

Duh. The women disprivilege trumps white privilege 10/10 times. Do you even SJW bro?

Daley didn’t get arrested and charged. He got off easy because he’s black. Society tends to take it easier on blacks because they are or at least feel they are owed for people they’ve never even met being wronged.

Dana has explicitly said Connor will be dealt with after the law deals with him.

Trying to sucker your opponent in the cage after the final bell is pretty low. Even wand was able to control himself after the sonnen fight n only pushed him.

If Daley waited to sucker kos outside of the cage, he’ll probably still be in ufc today

They are both assholes. In a perfect world Convict would get shit canned. But in this particular case. That would be rewarding him. As crazy as that sounds it’s 100% true. Firing him would be rewarding him. Because then he’d be free to do anything he wants to.

The UFC has fucked up almost everything Convict related, for years. The two biggest mistakes being the Alvarez fight, and especially the Mayweather fight. They fucking blew it. And are now paying the price.

I’m glad Daley got shit canned. That was beyond douchey. Couldn’t punch Kos during the fight. So he sucker punched him from behind, many seconds after the horn.

I just wish they could have done the same to Conor.

It's Conor. So we're talkin' slightly higher than a double-standard. In the realm of infini-tuple standard.
