Double standard: Daley's Sucker Punch vs Conors Bus Assault on entire card

So it' ok to assault someone before their fight while they are not expecting it and not giving a shit if others get hurt?

You could argue that conors was worse because others got caught in the crossfire. While Daley went after one man!

Once again, one is during an event, the other is outside of that event. Its like getting wasted and fighting at the bar vs doing it at work.

The setting plays a factor.

And ill clarify, i don't even think Daley would get fired if he did that today. But back then it was a different time and UFC hadnt built the "legitimate" reputation they have now, so there was more sensitivity to those actions.

Jones has pulled some shit and he pretty much has a permanent place in the UFC. Obviously Conor has made the UFC more money and generated more publicity than he ever did.

There are levels to this game, and Daley wasn't on theirs.

Conor was worse and if it was done by anyone who wasn't a top guy they would be fired.

Do I have a problem with that? Not really. When deciding whether or not to fire someone for an incident that hurts the company's image they need to weigh the damage against the value the fighter brings to the company. It is a business decision and imo should be.

Besides do you really want Conor banned from the ufc? It would give him an excuse to keep ducking. His fanboys would be unbearable.

Naw. One was in the heat of the moment. One was planned.

Simple, Connie has White Privilege.

If Daley launched dangerous objects at innocent bystanders NOT ONLY would he have received a lifetime ban, BUT the NYPD would’ve shot him.

Except a black man tops them all for being a terrible human and getting coddled by the ufc. Jon Jones crashes into a pregnant woman, flees the scene only to return to grab a fist full of cash and probably some coke and is allowed to compete again. Let’s not even get into the other stuff he’s done and he will be back soon. It’s all about the money dude.

One has made the company millions and the other has made them nothing.

You're honestly dumb if you truly think that's the reason why..

Question for readers. Which in your humble opinion is worse.

A fighter Sucker punching after bell
or
A fighter and his gang assaulting a bus full of fighters causing serious injuries

Both are horrible acts. Dana White gave onr of these fighters a lifetime ban. The other no such talks. Which is more deserving of that?
what srs injuries?

Well...Conor has guaranteed that the UFC can never ban anyone for misconduct ever again
Daley should have saved his sucker punch til about a month ago.

So how about Conor's antics at Bellator? He jumped into the cage where he had no right to be, pushed an official, etc.

The issue isn't WHERE it happened, it's WHO did it. Conor makes the UFC money and unfortunately that trumps all.

If you cant see the difference im sorry you're being wllfully ignorant.

Yeah it probably was, planned. Unless there just happened to be a professional film crew there to capture it.

That's the thing you don't get, conor DID do it at work!!!

He threw the dolly at the bus at a UFC event. He works in the UFC as does khabib and other fighters. Conors action affected his coworkers who are also in the same profession which is being a UFC fighter.

Oh and duck UFCs reputation. They let a pro wrestler with zero experience fight in the UFC and he is once again in the main card despite having a 0 and 1 record.

According to Mcgregor.. he made the UFC $4.2 billion. While Daley was going to be out the of the UFC after a few more losses.

Dana has no integrity and that isn't a new revelation. It was evident long before McGregor threw his bitch fit.

It's about value to UFC

Daley potentially hurt UFC's image. He was on their broadcast, still on the job, he still had to stand in the ring and do the traditional announcements. He was disrespectful to everything, the fighters who do the job despite enduring incredible emotional lows and highs, the promotion, the ref who allowed him to approach Kos under the guise of sportsmanship, the rules that separate this sport from the perception of human cock fighting. He lacked the the control of his ego to do the most basic and routine part of the job and he did it live on Dana's TV. What he did brought no value and hurt UFC's image.

Conor's crime was committed against NYC. They punished him. Also put UFC's logo all over the front pages of popular websites and sports shows.

No. Work is inside the octagon, not outside of it.

Plus it was fake af

The UFC is a business and is trying to make money.
Why in the fuck would they ban Conor Fucking McGregor who is the biggest money maker they have?

Also he's white.
