Why are they taking over the movie-verse?

Ghost Busters recast ... with women?

New Star Wars lead role .... is a woman

The Master in the upcoming Dr. Strange has been cast as a woman even tho that character never was ???

The Human Torch was black? Oops off topic

Nothing against women or anyone else but why are we changing things so weirdly?

I dun get it

It's like women are getting revenge or something

Seriously, Ghost Busters is total gender reversal. Women in the lead and the secretary is played by Thor who is just a really vapid dumb assed guy with no redemption and muscles to be the stupid good looking guy whole the women run the show

Which is fine but wtf

ya know?

Ahh I'm gunna come off as an asshole for this topic

Because white males are no longer the biggest movie going demographic

Never start a sentence with "Don't get me wrong I like women...but"

It sounds gay no matter what comes after it.

I agree though, why the fuck was the torch black?

Bridesmaids made Hollywood think women are funny. Train wreck did same thing

Nick Fury was suppose to be white too

No racist

But Samuel L Jackson owns that role and I love him in it

Black Human Torch makes no sense

I had this great option of not seeing any of that. If the ladies bother you that much do the same.

No one forced new Ghostbusters on you. They made it and said "watch it if you want". Any displeasure you let it bring you is entirely on you.

People need to stop pretending movies and tv shows and comic books are "forced" on anyone.

Josh Trank wanted to get his buddy into the movie. Never hooked a buddy up with a job before?

We've had decades upon decades of white people cast in the roles of darker skinned people (and it still happens), but when it's the other way around, it's an issue or doesn't make sense?

Also, don't worry TS, I'm making a male version of Sex and the City. The dude version of Samantha is gonna get all types of casual rug and be the focus of feminist protests. Good times.

Oh shit I also forgot to mention new Fuller House female leads

It's really strange.
A "Strong" woman to me is one who is overcomes her flaws and shortcomings, not an action star like Rey or Black Widow, or any of the ghostbuster bitches. There's just no complexity in these characters. They're the good guys and do good things for good and are underestimated because they're women blah blah blah. That's not realistic. Real characters have flaws, deeper motivations, etc. I'd be fine with all of this if the female leads weren't so shallow.

I want to see Rey training with elderly Luke and have a hard time using the force and blame it on it being that time of the month

Economic relevance demands trendy new media.

Problem?

Because the love of money. When it comes to the superheroes, they already know they have the white male demographic, so how best to squeeze the lemon dry? Make a white character black or a male character(s) female. They probably feel that those changes are likely to draw more black people and females than lose white males. Profit.

Girls aren't allowed to want mindless action heroes? What did you think about Arnie in Total Recall? Why can't strong women just be cool, ass-kickers?

And Black Widow doesn't really qualify after Avengers 2. They went out of their way to make her "deeper and more complex in her motivations".

They turned her into a whore

She went from wanting to bone Hawkeye in Avengers to going after Cap in Cap 2 and now she was with the Hulk in Avengers II

I'm surprised she didn't try to blow Vision in Cap 3

She was going for T'Challa in Civil War. IMO.

What people asked for was:

(Strong character) female.

What the studios gave us was:

(Strong female) character.

There is a diffrence.

Though there is nothing wrong with women doing shallow, fluffy adventure films -- that's perfectly fine. But we probably shouldnt label them strong female characters just because of it.

Well that was great insight on why you made this thread.

If she did blow Vision would you be more angry, or jealous? Answer that for yourself, not me.

We still run 90% of the world fella's, I don't think new Ghostbusters are going to lead to male concentration camps.

and do not forget all these reverse gangbang moview. More vags than c^$&s ..... not a fan. I need at least 3-1 c$%k to vag ratio.
