Dan Mirg did the right thing again by rewarding the correct guy the victory.

He wouldn't be the first guy to mentally wilt against Ferguson(In fact Cerrone has done that in his other fights himself), it's tough out there locked in a cage with El Cucuy. I don't judge a fighter doing that except for when they pull a Weidman, that's just messed up. Unfair against the opponent being the legit winner.

Eddie Alvarez anyone? You think Eddie wanted to DQ Gil too? Tons of fighters blow with broken noses, even extreme vets. Getting your nose broken and not being able to breath thru your only open breathing apparatus in a fight (can't breath open mouth) will f up anyone. This is all compounded when the other guy is putting it on you and you are struggling for air.

Last guy to do it, that I can recall was Alvarez. Did he try to quit too even though he won? He's a veteran, he should've known.

Just like Ferguson was not thinking about it when he punched Cerrone after the bell. He's a veteran for goodness sake. However, he was instinctually throwing a punch. Just like Cerrone instinctually blew his stuffed up nose. Both of them knew and and admitted they fucked up afterwards.
