That's one way to look at it. But in reality, you can't become president unless you go through the channels of the GOP or the DNC. Trump has always been a democrat, but with DNC super delegates he never would have stood a chance. If the GOP also used super delegates, there would be no democracy left.
 
The way the Clinton's were running the DNC for their personal benefit aside, am I the only one intrigued that the DNC was broke?

No, I think that is very interesting too. We may have reached a point where most ordinary people see that the Democrats don't really represent them anymore, and the vast majority of all the big big money is going Republican.

I would say that the concentration of wealth in this country over the last 30 years has impacted that as well. The Republican party is purely a party of capital now.

I think a variety of intelligence agencies also said it was Russia. I don't feel like looking it up but I think some foreign agencies said the same.
 
I wonder if the timing of this has anything to do with the ongoing investigations.
 
These last few years have been the most interesting (and trying) times in US politics. Brazile was a heel and now she seems poised to turn hero? The DNC might be on the ropes or ready for a major shake-up? Sessions isn't the "Sheriff" Trump wished for? McCain, McConnel, and Ryan are cementing their RINO status?

I may have to watch the GSP / Bisping card to get my mind off of all of this. Watching a Brit living in the US with a thick English accent fight a Canadian with a French Canadian accent should be enough of a respite from politics. I think.

The document I linked to was originally reported to represent 17 intelligence agencies. That was redacted down to 4. In any event, who is the author? Was that author a political appointment? We saw what political appointment Loretta Lynch was capable of. Now we see what DNC staff were capable of. Whose bare opinion are we relying on here?

Citizens United isn't really to blame here. That case only affected the ability of corporations, unions, etc, to engage in "electioneering communications" within 60 days of a general election (and any state laws with similar proscriptions at any time). That's it. All of the events Brazille detailed occurred many months before the general. Citizens was a natural extension of First National Bank of Boston v. Bellotti (where the SCOTUS held that corporations could make contributions to ballot campaign initiatives (1976)).

It gets a bad rap. I think it was correctly decided on First Amendment grounds.

No, a letterhead stamp by an anonymous official is not good enough. The standard of proof that is good enough is proponderence of the evidence. At this point, the only hard evidence, not opinion, evidence, we have that Russia hacked the DNC is an IP address in Moscow’s time zone was regularly pinging the DNC server. Seriously. That’s it.

In fact, file transfer time stamps show the DNC files were copied onto a USB and not uploaded online, strong evidence that the hack involved an insider.

To add to the doubt, Vault 7 wikileaks release includes Marble, the CIA program designed to obfuscate cyber fingerprints and attribute them to foreign actors. Intelligence agencies have a vested financial and political interest in attributing actions to foreign actors. Cross examination of the source is required to determine its credibility.
