Opinion Donald Trump is a racist, and Bernie Sanders is a socialist

eh..... I don't worry about the socialism thing for myself. I worry more for the later generations. Honestly, it'd probably be great for me. It hard enough now to go to work every day as a lower middle class stiff. I wouldn't have a lot to worry about if I had free health care and all sorts of other gov't provided bennies for doing nothing. I own my home, I don't really have tons of bills. Honestly, my health care is one of my major incentives for working. I can't really see any reason to continue contributing to the tax base if I can get this shit for nothing. Its already tempting to want to fake an injury like others do, so everyone else can pay my way.

I think socialism will basically remove all incentive for people to achieve, in a country where we have already lost so much pride in ourselves. I think it will destroy big business, which I get is a wet dream of liberals but who is going to pay for all these government benefits? Who's going to pay for that "free" (translation- middle class funded) health care, education etc etc etc?Why would anyone want to spend almost a decade in law or medical school only to see their profit taken away ?

You seem to think hard work is why the US is rich. I disagree. We are rich because of our waterways, and natural resources. We are rich because we created our own growth with a ever expanding middle class after WWII. This resulted in a juggernaut consumer economy that is the economic power of the world. Labor unions built the American middle class, and our juggernaut economy. Banksters and corporatists, or as some prefer to call them globalists, have been gutting that juggernaut for the last 40 years.

This is why the so called Republican Trump ran on a anti-trade, and anti-immigration platform, meant to appeal to that middle class that has been under attack for 40 years now.

See, some of us remember that Republicans were the champions of cheap labor, and free trade. Yes, so were the Clinton's and Obama, but before that was a guy named Carter, and Johnson, and Kennedy, and none of them supported cheap labor, and corporate trade agreements designed to undercut the leverage of labor.

It is amazing to me that Republicans are holding onto the anti-union rhetoric, while somehow pretending they are for the middle class, when the Republican party was the #1 co-conspirator with the chamber of commerce in bringing about our current cheap labor, and corporate trade reality that was all designed to destroy the labor unions.

You need people to work those natural resources and waterways, no? Who is going to want to do that? People work jobs like that because they have to, not because they enjoy it.

People that want to make money.

You see we are so wealthy as a nation, that we could afford to be like Norway.

We could provide a high quality of life for the lowest of our citizens, and still offer even more reward for those that work for it.

It doesn't have to be a carrot or a giant stick up your ass.

If can be a really awesome carrot, or a shitty low quality carrot supplement.

That still meets the idea of the carrot and the stick.

Agreed. Not so much when the gov't takes most of it.

All I see happening is the destruction of big business which will benefit, China, india etc etc etc. The rich aren't going to just sit back and have their profits eaten up by people who don't contribute. This "free shit" push is, IMO, the most dangerous political push I've seen in my lifetime.
We can't secure our borders, we can't eliminate welfare fraud , so when does the free for all become unsustainable? It will come quicker than you think, I expect. Its just going to be that many more people who get money for nothing. I think you overestimate the young people in this country.

Dude, I'm just trying to get you to cash out on being the world's reserve currency, before the whole post WWII order crumbles apart.

Fyi, climate change is probably real, and even if it wasn't, technology advancement is about to destablize the global order like the industrial revolution did creating WWI, and WWII.

You are worried about China and India and the American empire, when you should be worried about fortifying our Homeland for WWIII, and the inevitable global chaos that is coming.

I dont believe he is racist. But I do believe he has been isolated from minorities most of his early life, and is Ignorant as a result. Some of the stuff he says on social media screams out that he is ignorant and unaware of how awkward some of the stuff he says is. Im sorry, but I dont see a racist mastermind at work here.

There is pressure among african americans and minorities from other members of their communities to dislike Trump, and many cave to the pressure. There isnt really any upside or benefit to openly liking Trump, so nobody does.

Democratic socialists call conservatives facists, even though facism is a part of socialism, so it seems like alot of people have no clue what they are talking about, and simply regurgitate things other people say.
