Opinion Donald Trump is a racist, and Bernie Sanders is a socialist

No one will vote for a racist.

It sounds like you act racist and this thread is projecting.

You would think the mexican, black and Polynesian KKK formed to defeat the new 3rd Riech when me and my friends get together.

We use racial slurs that haven't been heard in decades.

Google has really been a help in expanding our racist vocabulary.

That doesn’t seem very good faith to me my man

Both are bad and Trump isn’t a racist....

The housing discrimination case the justice department won against him would beg to differ. It was literally proven in a court of law that he's a racist. That's not really up for debate.

Of course they will, just like they will vote for a socialist.

What they will never do is vote 3rd party.

I learned that this last election.

Two most disliked candidates in modern history, and 3rd party got 5%.

Donald Trump, a Racist, Sends Awful Tweet About MLK Jr. Day

The Washington Post on January 17th:

More than 8 in 10 black Americans say they believe Trump is a racist and that he has made racism a bigger problem in the country. Nine in 10 disapprove of his job performance overall.

The pessimism goes well beyond assessments of the president. A 65 percent majority of African Americans say it is a “bad time” to be a black person in America. That view is widely shared by clear majorities of black adults across income, generational and political lines. By contrast, 77 percent of black Americans say it is a “good time” to be a white person, with a wide majority saying white people don’t understand the discrimination faced by black Americans.

Mike Bloomberg is going to be the next president, because no one will vote for a racist or a socialist.

While I'm sure many on the left will say Sanders isn't a socialist, as long as it is said enough, enough people will believe it that he can't win the presidency.

Like wise, many on the right will object to Trump being called a racist. However, if it is said enough, enough people will believe it that he can't be elected president. No one will vote for a racist.

So righties, understand, when I call Trump a racist in the future, I believe it as much as you do that Bernie is a socialist.

Discuss........
The working class don’t give a fuck about your identity politics. Most of them are not racists, but at the end of the day they will vote for the guy that they think will put them first.

Like him or not, Trump has emerged as the guy who puts the working American first, while the left keeps shooting themselves in the foot with their woke progressive nonsense.

Trump wins again imo

I think we may see that change over time. I've voted 3rd party for the past 2 presidential elections. I think younger people are generally more open to 3rd parties.

I'd personally like to see ranked choice voting adopted in the US.

This is probably my issue with newspeak, not with your claim.

What does being to the left or right even mean?

I just wanted to get specific.

That's a fair point using a 1 dimensional metric to measure a multi-dimensional system is always doomed to being wrong or at least not presenting the full picture.

My point is Bernie voted for loads of wars just not the Iraq war. He's not a socialist cause he doesn't want direct state control over all aspects of society. He's a social democrat.

Such distinctions aren't really explored though as much easier just to throw a conceptual blanket over someone (not meaning you, meaning society in general) and treat it like two sides in a sports game.

Not yet. What has to happen first is voting out the old for the new. That is Trump and Bernie.

Next they have to fail because the system is rigged, so you can be corrupt, or ineffective.

Lastly, the voters will turn on the party's as has happened in Europe.

What happens after that is anyone's guess.

Agreed...Trump is totally unelectable...there's no way in hell he could ever be President...

And it's still better than any other political system
I think our system is better than a direct democracy.

Some people are just too lazy to make their own happiness or are never happy with what they have. All socialism does is make everyone miserable and you’re an absolute moron if you think socialism works...

It certainly does make everyone poor, but it does get rid of envy because everyone else is poor too.

Except for the fact that Sanders self-identifies as a socialist.

Trump self-identifies as a nationalist, that doesnt makes him a nazi either.

When people say "socialism" in America they are clearly taking about marxism-leninism.

I would like for people to be specific in how Trump has made relations between blacks and whites worse.

lol that an "awful tweet" from Trump is actually one saying how well black people are doing in this country.

Imagine what MLK would feel like if had seen what had been done in the name of his "dream" over the past 50 years.

Naw. All I notice is people's butt cheeks puckered up more when they talk about race. People just need to stop being bitches.

Nothing has really changed.

I still call all my minority friends every name in the book, and they call me Hitler. Good times.
We should laugh at racism. We give it too much power.
