The defense COULD have asked for lesser included crimes as an alternate charge.... they did not. I said at the time it was a stupid mistake, and guess what..... it was a stupid fucking mistake. They made it all or nothing, and the jury chose All, thank-you.

Also, are you familiar with the concept of tolling? All cases in NY went dormant through Covid, and so tolling, or halting of the clock on the statute of limitations.
Then, Trump was in office for 4 years... again, tolling for 4 years because they don't charge a sitting president.

Don't worry though, some of your stable geniuses have already informed us that this is a GOOD thing for tiny-D and will only make him more popular, so you're in luck.

Has the high worn off yet? Do Liberals really think this changes anything? People weren't moved and Trump even received significant bumps over these indictments, but finding him guilty over what people think are sham political charges, is somehow gonna change things?

In a few days when polling comes out and Trump is still leading(possibly by even more than he is now), does the party still continue, or do they maybe start realizing why Trump is more popular than Biden? It's not because Trump is some clean as whistle pastor. It's because Biden sucks that bad. When you're looking for outside sources to save your guy, your guy sucks and you know it.

No twisting needed. You simply buy into the results of a show trial. If not a show trial, why else would the results make you take your stance? There is not middle ground here. Either the trial was a political hit job, and if you agree with that, why would you suggest you have trump back down?

Otherwise there is literally no logic to suggest he backdown.

We have politicians here on the local level who have been convicted of high dollar felonies, both them and their spouses were booted from their political offices, and then they received pretty much ZERO punishment.

Only to be RE-ELECTED to their old spots. Politics are weird man, and people seem to have the attention span of a goldfish. I thought it was merely a fluke when a former mayor was elected, recalled, re-elected, and re-recalled. Then this shitbag and his wife have similar things happen with them. I guess the main difference here is they were all pigmentally advantaged, as the current contestant isn't.

The hit job part was going to trial. The truth is that there wasn't a single true believer to hang the jury. He's guilty as fuck. Literally unbelievable they couldn't find one guy to throw the game for Trump. Trump is a POS and deserves this.
