News Donald Sutherland 1935–2024

R.I.P.

I was way too young the first time I saw Animal House but I've always remembered his role.

I will for sure be rewatching his legendary Mr. X scene from JFK (1991) tonight, as tribute. Wherein Donald Sutherland manages to walk into the middle of the movie, steal the entire thing from one of the most absolutely stacked casts of all time, & then walk out. What a legend. RIP

He apparently came close to passing away during the filming of Kelly's Heroes.

I do not talk about him often on here, but Donald Sutherland is in my ten favorite actors of all time, up there with Sean Connery and Michael Caine.

May he have found peace, beauty, and positive waves.

R.I.P. Sad to hear about this. One of the great actors who has an impressive body of work. Really admired the career he has build especially in the last few decades. In the last 20 years or so, he just adds a lot of class and prestige to whatever film he was in. Will miss him very much.

RIP. It's strange, I really don't remember him from any of his classic movies, but from Ordinary People, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and this.

I was watching that video the other week and even though its still a music video, you can see the dynamic expression and emotional story telling between Sutherland and Bush as father and daughter
They rarely make music videos like this anymore
