Media Don The Dragon Wilson on fighting Rogan: I would have to take him seriously.

Sidebar convo; does anyone really believe that Joe had amatuer kickboxing competition experience? There's zero information on this that I can find.

Never looked it up, but it seems plausible enough to me. I dont think he would lie about something like that.

Don Wilson was a legend. Here he is destroying Art Jimmerson (of UFC 1 fame) in a hybrid kickboxing rules match. I believe Wilson was limited to 5 leg kicks per round or something. As far as Rogan-Wilson hypothetical, it all depends when and the rules. Wilson annihilates Rogan in kickboxing/karate or any pure striking event any time in the 80s/90s and probably through early 2000s. Once Rogan was competent in BJJ, he probably wins in MMA being 12 years younger and having a grappling skillset.

Wilson said Mike Tyson would have knocked him out though.
That doesn't change anything in my post. Wilson competed between 175-190 pounds his entire career. Michael Spinks was a very good but undersized HW boxer and Tyson's size and power were too much for him.

Dont mind him.

He's touched by the angels.

dude looks kinda old. Feels weird watching old people fight. I mean they prolly can't even tank falling down stairs without hip surgery afterwards. how they gonna survive a fight?
