I would like to think so but he had a camp to fight Jon Jones and fought an old out of shape Andy and couldn't mount and finish him and almost got finished in the third (He was actually hurt). Cormier might have been reluctant to get submitted and I agree he smashes any version of Frye. But I hope Rumble wins. I like the way he fights. I want Rumble Vs. Ngannou ASAP lol.

I haven't seen this much Don Frye hate in the almost 7 years I've been on Sherdog, yet here in one thread comes all of Cormier's fans.

Everyone knows that Cormier will dry hump Frye to another boring decision win, doesn't mean shit. Frye's still more likeable and fan friendly.

To all those who believe that DC would crush all versions of Frye, I generally would agree that DC would be the favorite, but the younger prime Don Frye (206lbs-215lbs) who won the UFC 8 Tourney and the Ultimate Ultimate '96, was an efficient fighting machine. That young Frye had some good strikes (uppercuts/hooks) in the clinch, a great stiff jab, durability, and endless cardio; he would have been a good match-up for DC.

to be fair frye's brain is pretty scrambled at this point in time so maybe DC is hard for him to understand.

Well, that's a disappointing read. I really hope that string of adjectives ("overrated," "underperforming," "worthless") was solely to describe DC's trash-talking skills, or lack thereof.

Cormier won the Strikeforce Heavyweight Gran Prix and is the current UFC Light Heavyweight champion. He's beaten Anderson, Hendo, Rumble, Gus, Mir, Nelson, Barnett, Bigfoot, and more... and his only loss is a decision to one of the best fighters in the world. Besides the Jones fight, he's beaten everyone that's been put in front of him.

Like Cormier or not, if Don's talking about Cormier as a fighter with those adjectives, that's a piss-poor claim on Don's part. If you want to pick apart Cormier's trash-talking abilities (again, or lack thereof), I can see that, 100%. If you want to call him out for being more emotional than other fighters, I'd consider that to be some bitch-made behavior, but whatever. But to act like he's not a good fighter... fuck outta here.

And don't get me started with the “bedee-bedee-bedee-bedee" bullshit. Cormier is well-spoken and I don't think anyone has a problem "understanding what he's saying"-- he's a fucking analyst on the Fox shows, for Christ's sake.
