Except that you can't jump to testing people before running studies on animals first. First lab studies, then animal studies, then after getting approval -- human studies.

This is a huge part of the problem with this headline directed approach. If people don't understand that systems themselves, it's easy to draw the wrong conclusions.

So, if we see testing a steroid's impact on animals then it's probably a precursor to testing that steroid's impact on people. And what we would need to know before we labelled it "waste", is what the steroid is, why we're studying it, who the potential beneficiaries would be, what side effects they're worried about, etc. And ultimately -- would we want people to take this steroid before we knew about potential animal side effects?

I don't doubt that. Hence my point about why we test this stuff on animals first. You don't want them running clinical trials on your BIL before they're tried them on animals first. Some of the side effects that turn in those types of trials, no one wants a loved one to experience that unexpectedly.

Current IRS has thousands of pages of tax codes and requires people with degrees to even understand it. And many of them don't even grasp it.

Heavily reform the Irs or completely scrap it and get a new organization in.

We should test on animal first, but we have seen great amount of money spent on idiotic studies and it should be looked at seriously. My brother-in-law and others in his situation could provide useful information and nobody bothers.
