In watching the video you can tell he has kind of lost his empathy. As you mentioned he said he cannot speak well about the management or the union but the thing that I think needs to be addressed is when he said 8 months to find a job. These lead times and the amount of interviews to get employment is ridiculous. Also, another thing I never hear from DOGE, people that like DOGE or people tied to DOGE cuts is you do realize that going on unemployment creates more waste, right?

They do, that's why the majority of the firings have been probationary workers that don't have protections or belong to unions. It's also why they've been trying to compel voluntary resignations.

But Congress is also ignoring their duties and letting him get away with shit like firing Inspector Generals and other posts that normally require Congressional approval.

It's unfortunate because the DOGE concept is amazing. You just can't have Musk running it. The process can't be rushed.

The simple fact is government layoffs are needed, so they'll happen.

Sure, we all want to eliminate waste in government. Bill Clinton’s administration is the only one in modern times that had much success, and their approach was pretty different than DOGE. Like you said, they spent time analyzing what the effects of certain cuts would be (they also didn’t operate outside the law, like DOGE).

DOGE to me is basically ransacking offices and shaking all the coins out of the couches to try and help fun tax cuts for the already wealthy.

To give the rich a 4.5 trillion tax cut..
