Did Carter Jr and Willie Nelson go out that night and beat up anybody, get in any hit and run accidents, rape any woman, beat any of their spouses, use cocaine, threaten any law enforcement officers, assault any senior citizens, throw any dollies through a bus window injuring coworkers, or DUCK ANY OPPONENTS? No they did not. That event ruffled plenty of feathers or else you wouldn't even be talking about it now. Shut the f*** up with that nonsense.Tbf Carter had his buddy musicians do a hippy concert on the White House lawn and his son later got high on the roof with Willie Nelson. That didn’t seem to ruffle any feathers…

President Jimmy Carter was famously friends with several musicians while in office, including country performer Willie Nelson. In 1980, Nelson, a well-known pot smoker, visited the White House for a concert in the Rose Garden and somehow managed to get high atop the presidential residence afterward. The musician wrote in his memoir, “Sitting on the roof of the White House in Washington, D.C., late at night with a beer in one hand and a fat Austin Torpedo in the other, I drifted into a reflective mood. Nobody from the Secret Service was watching us — or if they were, it was with the intention of keeping us out of trouble instead of getting us into it.”
Nelson was apparently not alone — Chip Carter, President Carter’s son, accompanied Nelson that night. In the memoir, Nelson reflected on his journey to that moment, noting, “I let the weed cover me with a pleasing cloud and reflected on what a long, strange trip it had been from smoking cedar bark and grapevine at the age of 4 or 5 … to sitting on the roof of the White House sharing a number in the warm, humid night.”
