The UFC has an obvious agenda of hindering any union-efforts and consistently fucking over their employees - hardly compatible with more government regulation. I'd say both viewers of- and participants in MMA hits the core right-wing profile of low-empathy, low socioeconomic status, high respect for authority etc. Still ironic for these fighters to take brain damage for a living while voting against universal health care, though

If you mean leftist as in neoliberal which is a right wing economic leaning while being OK with gay people existing which has virtually nothing to do with actual leftists then no.

Their families party together, their kids go to the same schools and have the same economic leanings which is all that matters to them.

Want me to blow your mind? There are no classical leftists in politics in the United States anywhere. You might find a few in Europe if you look very hard. There's also none in Canada either.

There are liberals in the classical sense. Liberalism literally means liberalizing trade aka the people bending you over.

The anti-union propaganda is amazing. People really believe the UFC is taking losses on half these events and can't afford to pay their fighters more. In a way its the fighters fault. Get a union or don't get paid.

Like anything else, people will have opinions. If they choose to use their fame/platform to push their beliefs is their individual choice. Personally I would rather see athletes and EVERYONE in general keep their politics and religious beliefs to themselves rather than forcing their views on others. Especially since there is so little connection between those worlds. I don't ask my doctor for fight pics and I definitely don't need political advise from people who get punched in the face for a living (no offense intended, I respect the shit out of fighters but being in the UFC doesn't qualify them as political experts)
 
When you try to divide up unique individuals into two competing sides you're just making yourself stupid, while reaching no real understanding of anything. You’re really just oversimplifying everything so your tiny brain can have the illusion of understanding.
 
I get virtually all of my political and religious ideology from whoever wins the most fistfights in a cage.

Only the gay UFC fighters are left wing, the rest are right wing. Left wing people in general can't stand sports and MMA is like the most manly sport and thus the most toxic.
