Poor defense. You can't fight with your hands down with no footwork or head movement to protect you unless you have an amazing chin, which Luke just doesn't have.

It is common place in MMA even at the highest level to for many fighters to lack basic striking defense fundamentals. Great mma strikers typically just have great offense.
