his contract might have a time constraint, maybe if it gets cancelled hours before he will get some sort of compensation but a few months earlier? I don't think so

In short, I doubt it.

Not really comparable situations to be honest. Henderson is fighting on a completely different card now, Diaz is still slated as the headliner of the card he originally signed on to fight. You still may be correct, and he may lose out on a big pay day. But there are definite differences to the two situations.
