Might as well give him the shot, if he really is champ material, he should win and than defend the belt multiple times.

No, it sucks for him but it is what it is considering the circumstances.
Idk why the UFC promise title shots with a fight between two unranked guys in the division, just stupid of them but again it is what it is.

I'd say do him versus Cannonier(was actually originally gonna replace Costa at UFC 294 until he got injured) or Izzy, winner gets DDP.

Why are talking about MW at 300? The belt was just on the line. If anything screw over Belal and let Khamzat fight Leon at 300 for WW and convince anyone to fight tom at this point for HW interim

Meant for those talking about the whole MW fiasco

Imo Jared takes over and beats that ass bad after the 1st rd, so I say make the fight. Lol

Tbh Jared is the only guy in the top five coming off a win right now too, he could just straight up get a title shot with his wins over Sean and Vettori.
That being said, I don't think a lot of people want to see that after his last shot against Izzy. DDP/Cannonier could potentially be a pretty fun bout tho.

Doesn't really matter if he does or doesn't does it?

But I'll sure as shit tune in for the scrap belt or not.

Do you think Brock Lesnar was more deserving for a title shot?

You're right, I'd still love to see Jerad and Khamzat fight. Just for the fact that I'm really confident what the outcome would be and it would be easy money if betting. Lol

Nope, but if he gets it it's not a big deal. And when we say he doesn't deserve it, fangirls think we say Khamzat is not a good fighter. Strickland didn't deserve the title shot against Izzy but even he was deserving it more than Khamzat lol

People talk shit about Nickal all the time but he doesn't challenge to any top 5 fighter because he know he doesn't deserve it. Almost every dagestani, chechen fighter challenges the fighters way too higher ranked than them. And when a top 3 fighter don't want to fight against an unranked dagestani, their fangirls say he is ducking. But when some top 10 guy challenges Dagestani top 3 or champ, their fangirls say you don't deserve why should he fight you

No he does not. He struggled through the fight with Burns and off the couch Usman who is a welterweight, only 10 day notice flew across the world to the other end to fight him at only 190 lbs and arguably had very close round 2 and round 3. Some argue he won round 2 and round 3. He needs to fight a legit middleweight in the top 10 to earn the titleshot.

I don't recall what my mindset was at the time anymore but probably similar to now. Deserved, na. More deserving, sure as he was actually competing within that weight class regularly. I hold minor stock in divisional work, ranks and course the belt but it's all easily caveated by my awareness..

Needs to beat a legit Top 10, then a legit Top 5, first.

Pretty obvious.
This.

Yes, because he fought actual heavyweights before getting his shot at the title. Khamzat has beaten Gerald Meerschart at MW.
I'd be fine with him vs Izzy for an interim to headline 300.
Khamzat vs Izzy is the fight to make if they want to actually propel him into the title, but the last time he was given a layup main event to get him a title shot over a known name, he came in a weight class over after having a large dinner and drinking fizzy water the night before. I wanted this fight in another thread as well.
You know, it's been a while since Izzy faced a good grappler.
Izzy vs Khamzat for #1 contender since Khamzat wants a title shot so bad he should be able to beat the former champ in a 5 round fight without gassing, surely.
DDP/Canonier let's just give Jared his earned shot and get him out of there or shake up the division even further
Strickland/Costa-Bobby winner I just like the idea of a Strickland Whittaker fight for some reason
Izzy immediately getting the shot off a loss but Sean not getting his rematch while losing via SD, not a dominant ass whooping like Izzy, is criminal.

He outstruck Burns standing (same shit why people think Usman is so good). Outwrestled Usman. His cardio is actually good, look at Burns fight where he increased output every round. He's undefeated. You're just blind if you don't think he's good enough to do it. He's had shit circumstances and I don't feel like talking about him getting a title shot the next 2 years.

Most importantly, everyone ranked above him at MW has lost a title shot besides Dolidze and Allen. They have losses in the UFC already. Although I would say Allen would be interesting to get a title shot too.
