Does Khabib Get a Title Shot at 170 if He Wants it?

He did out grapple (mainly) a 145er, and he made it look GOOOOOOD, he's the fucking best. But that punch changes a man, he knows at 170 they're gonna laugh at that power and not have a size advantage

A "145er"? Lmao.

Did you ever see him weigh in at 145?

He was/is far from a 145er, but whatever you need to believe to make it work for you.

I don't see a reason why not. They've given out and offered shots to fighters less deserving.

His mom doesn't want him to fight, he is honorable and won't go against that.
Also
He landed the largest punch he could land on Conor, he can't throw it any harder, landed CLEAN and Conor didn't even go down.

That changes a man,

Heh... According to a quick look-up Covington has one Knockdown in his UFC career... He knocked down Meunier in his 3rd appearance.

Knockdown power is not required to get a welterweight title shot apparently.

Yes I saw him take out the P4P #1/2 in under 30 seconds at 145. Made it look easy tbh.

He looked dead on the scales at 145, and that's due to him cutting massive amounts of weight to get there.

He'll probably never win another fight unless they let him beat Cowboy again.

He's a thing of the past.

Likely. It will depend on how far down the road we're talking.

But this is wrong. There were always more challenges. He could have fought Olivera and Chandler by now. Not easy fights for anyone.
Yes there were challengers for sure and damn good fights to be made. Khabib felt the rest were not on his level. I think more than anything he felt he was going to be in a couple years of rematches against Dustin, Justin, and maybe Conor. Charles VS Khabib would've been interesting but Khabib wins it and in his mind he probably feels he wins easily.

Right after he beat Justin yes, right now, I would say no. He needs to have at least one fight before.

Aren't you haters bored using this already many times debunked argument?

I believe Colby would get smashed at 155 by Khabib, or even Usman, because they could barely move after cutting that much weight, because they are simply bigger than Khabib, and they can't cut at 155. Perhaps Colby could cut to 155, but he would get smashed easily if he tried 155 against Khabib, he never did because he knows he can't be effective after cutting that much weight since he is bigger. By the way, Colby too cuts weight to 170 lbs, he should be fighting at 185 lbs if we are talking natural weight classes.
lol, aren't you tired of defending a guy who doesn.t even know you exist?

to answer the thread, dana puts him in wherever and whenever khabib would want.

he still has a ton of pull and people would pay to watch.

Dumb thread. Khabib is very clearly retired and has taken his fathers role as the coach now.

But if in the future Khabib ever called Dana about fighting in the octagon again, Dana would give him whatever he asked for. Wether it was an immediate170 pound title shot or to shut Mcgregor up again or even to fight Jake Paul. Dana would let Khabib do what he wanted for another ufc fight.

Of course. He won't though. Guy had potential to be one of the best ever and left before he could solidify that

Khabib ain’t coming back… he’s getting promoter money now.

Only way he comes back is if someone destroys Islam so bad that it embarrasses their team.

Highly doubt that ever happens.

He said recently if Olivera submits Islam ... he still wont come back.

It would just mean Oliveira is the best today and he (Khabib) was the best during his own time.

He's retired, not coming back, and is doing his thing. This is just speculation and nothing more.

Yeah.

To anyone who says otherwise: who specifically would get a title shot over him?

Moot point of course though since he isn't coming back.
