Does Jack Magdellena have a chance against the whats his name wrestler?

Imagine if out of all the new prospects at WW that came up the last few years in Shavkat, Garry that it would be JDM that would become champion.

Yeah I agree, a tune up would be best for Jack. He had a great comeback win vs Gilbert Burns last time but I'm unsure why he is so inactive. But I also get wanting to keep Belal's first title defense intact; Shavkat getting injured was just unfortunate. Maybe Jack can take advantage of this even if he doesn't win. The guy's pretty gritty and seems hard to finish. If he loses but still goes all 5 rounds he will definitely gain a lot of respect all around. If he wins, that would be something special. I can only see that happening if he clips Belal and knocks him out. I don't think Belal will be doing a kickboxing match with him.
JDM would've had a much better chance if you got the TS after Shavkat and Ian Garry, i think he still has a bit of maturing to do in his style. I think this TS is a bit too early for him and not ideal timing wise coming off an injury with little activity.

I agree. But if I were in his position, I'm absolutely taking the chance.

Let's see what happens!

Lack of fight IQ is yet another reason to bet on Belal lol. Being generous if you said JDM only has average fight IQ. Now you got a guy who hasn’t fought in forever, has never been in a title fight, has avg fight IQ, and holes in their wrestling. They’re going against a guy who has been more active recently, has fought in big fights including a title fight, has one of the highest fight IQs in the sport, has great wrestling. Who’re you gonna pick against?

In my opinion, out of all the reasons you've mentioned, that is the most legit one lol. I think JDM's scrambling ability will carry him through enough to land the important strikes on the feet. Belal is old. Time for a young guy to take over in my opinion.

and tbh belal is not good.

And I agree. People are on his dick right now because he is champion but I have hard time to call him elite. Context matters.

He is one of the luckiest fighters alive right now. And to be fair - everyone hates LHW but WW or MW aren't better.
Let's see his 10 fight unbeaten streak :
Curtis Millender, Takashi Sato and Dhiego Lima - all C level fighters if we are generous.
Then lucky NC against Leon who was battering him. I know that it was 1 round of action and everything in fight can happen but Edwards was piercing him. Still point remains.
Then past prime old Damien Maia.
Then past prime Wonderboy. Whose last win was 5 years ago in 2020 (!) if we don't count Kevin Holland who constantly is showing low fight IQ and played Thompson's game. This version of Trailblaizer lost even to RDR whose striking is horrible. It seems like he is selling the fights Bob Sapp style.
Then revenge on Vincente Luque who also is way past prime. Vincente is now only beating old fighters or C-level fighters like Themba Gorimbo. He still beat always dangerous Dos Anjos tho. He looks like Whittaker nowadays - he is winning against lesser competition vet style but is stepping stone to someone who is good or great.
Then Gilbert Burns who is inconsistent. Once he can give Usman hard fight or have unbelieveable showing against Khamzat - both elites - but then can lose to about anyone. I like Durinho but he broke his arm during Belal's fight and wasn't himself.
And now my biggest gripe with Belal - Leon Edwards and Sean Brady. Both great wins but it seems like that he has some weird aura around him. These 2 guys are in their primes but fighting Mohammad they looked like they don't belong to the octagon and looked like they have night off.
I can't explain it but it seems like to me that Belal is not that good - its his opponents who are constantly shitting the bed while fighting him. Did he evolve? Yes, yes as hell. He had great camp with Khabib during Brady fight and he finally finished someone good.
Also WW is shitshow now. It was during Usman's reign where there was whooping 3 elite fighters (Usman himself, Colby and Burns) with Edwards in backup and it is now. Lets see :

Welterweight
Champion
Belal Muhammad - lets say elite but evidence are above that he is weird fighter.
1 Leon Edwards - elite but last showings were awful
2 Shavkat Rakhmonov - unknown potential most likely elite
3 Kamaru Usman - past prime but last showing at MW vs Khamzat was impressive. Unknown
4 Jack Della Maddalena - as for now I will say A level - notch below elite
5 Sean Brady - same as JDM
6 Joaquin Buckley - he was always B level guy at MW. Maybe he found his optimal weight here and will be good but I doubt it - he is just beating low level guys in impressive fashion.
7 Ian Machado Garry - I don't like him and always thought he is equivalent to Paddy but he showed that he belongs. Nice fight with Shavkat. Potential uknown, as of now I would say A level or maybe even elite in future.
8 Gilbert Burns - very hard to tell. Likely past prime losing to young guys. Very inconsistent.
9 Colby Covington - previously elite now past-prime or even washed losing to B level guys.
10 Geoff Neal - some time ago A level. Today unknown. May be past prime.
11 Stephen Thompson - past prime. Now B level
12 Michael Morales - unknown potential rising star
13 Carlos Prates - unknown potential rising star
14 Vicente Luque - past prime vet. Now most likely B level.
15 Michael Page - unknown. May migrate to MW.

Overall I am not saying that Belal isn't good. I stand by that he isn't THAT GOOD as people are saying. He is byproduct of weird division and good matchups for him. Feel free to correct me.

Just as the title reads folks…

Shavkat, in my opinion, would have beaten brakes off of the current “champ” but not so sure about Jack.

Jack is touted to have great striking but that can be nullified by the wrasslin.

Can Jack pull it off?
There's always a chance when the WW champion is 37, Woodley went from looking unbeatable to never winning another UFC round.
Belal might not be in decline yet but if he is JDM can swoop into a title. if Belal is still in the condition he won the belt I don't see it.

Jdm has a shot. But is taylor made for whats his name.

Lol at Belal having good atsnd up now ....... his only striking skill is the td threat which h like Khabib and Islsm , and Khaz. Make their striking look levels better than it is.

That said I think Belal lay an prays a 50-45.

imo Belal takes this one but in case not guess we will hear a lot by Islam to move up and fight JDM

This is what i think as well…oh well, guess we got to wait for Shavkat to heal up…

Belal's Canelo hands & Khabib's Father's plan will give Jack his 1st decision loss in the UFC

Kind of difficult fight to predict. Any day now Belal could be taken by father time and look like a nobody. We've seen this with champs in their late 30s who just lose the belt and never win again. I don't think JDM has the perfect style on paper to beat Belal beside being able to finish fights on the feet better.

Title fights are always the test where the challenger has the greatest training camp of their life, while the champ has to dig deep and stay motivated to do the same after they just did it to win the title. This fight feels like a coin toss to predict, but will probably be 1 sided whoever wins.
