Not hyped for this tbh. For a champ vs champ fight it just feels anticlimactic to me. Even though he cheated, we just saw DC lose to Jones not long ago. And Stipe is Lord over a division of old dudes.
Plus I feel like it's going to be very one sided, don't see DC winning here. Probably doesn't help that the ufc don't know how to promote at all. Where is the buzz for this? Doesn't seem to be any.
It feels a little forced to me and it definitely has potential to be a boring fight. I am excited for. Way more than most cards these days. It doesn’t have that true GSP/Penn super fight feel though. I guess Jones having knocked DC could be part of the problem
I do not hate Jones. I just don't think DC has anything for Stipe. Francis N'Gannou is 2x the size of Jon Jones and Stipe rode him out for 5 rounds. I don't see DC being able to do that. Stipe is the clear favorite in this fight.
Definitely a super fight, but the promotion seems to be lacking. There’s a built-in story about respect and legacy with Miocic feeling disrespected leading up to the Ngannou fight and DC playing second fiddle to Jones most of his UFC career. They could make a great promo trailer out of that and I’m surprised they haven’t already.
Its a subtle superfight. Neither man really carries that "spectacular" aura and nothing rally stands out about either. Talent for days, sure, but not really all that memorable.
Regardless, I'm completely psyched for the scrap no matter the attention paid to it.
Interesting fight, but I have a feel that DC will come in fat and he's fighting a legit athletic HW with well rounded skills, and DC gonna get finished.
High lvl fight but I wouldn't necessarily call it a super fight.
