Does Cain not put hooks in because he doesn't want to end up on bottom?

He seems comfortable letting the bigger slower fighter transition into his flurries.

Cain's gameplan is to wear the opponent down with strikes, whether it is standing or on the ground. He does not need hooks for that.

I just feel like it is such a missed opportunity though.

Yes.

In his debut against Brad Morris, Goldberg had the audacity to say that this was an area of Cain's game that "needs evolving".

The truth is, not putting hooks in may be the next evolution.

Wrestling is the next evolution? ok:rolleyes:

Only for people who can't do a simple RNC

Pretty sure Cain knows how to do a simple rnc. He prefers to gnp people without the hooks in. He probably also did not want to risk going for a choke on a guy who trains under the nog bros

He's a GnPer not a submission artist.

I'd say it was part of his game plan. It worked.
Maybe he took the approach out of respect for JDS's abilities.
