does barao deserve a rematch?

No rematch. He was completely dominated in every round, was going to lose on points and then got stopped in the last round. He needs to earn another title shot. His performance was a complete embarrassment for the so-called best P4P fighter in the world.

No, he was completely outclass, TJ had better JJ, striking, footwork, movement and tkod him twice

No.

We need to forget about this rematch culture. There are too many fighters it's not fair.

If you want to rematch the champ knock off a contender or two.

Let him fight Cruz if he heals on his return and then we can talk about rematches.

TJ needs to avenge his decision loss to Assuncao first, who himself has earned a title shot.

If he gets instant rematch without the clause, they should just rematch every time champ loses.

This was a one sided ass kicking beatdown, idc how you want to pass it off as but it was what it was. NO rematch

No. The fight was far too one-sided. It wasn't like Barao made a mistake and got caught; he was out classed in every way for 4+ rounds, knocked down several times, and finished. Barao needs at least one quality win to deserve another shot.

Hell no. That was a one sided thrashing not a flash KO. He needs 2 big wins before getting a shot.

Nope, I hate instant rematches for the title. If it is a controversial decision (Machida/Shogun 1) or a strange stoppage (Randy/Vitor 1) then sure. A close decision for an established great (if GSP had lost to Hendricks), then OK, but only for the GSPs and Silvas of the world.

Aside from that , the former champ should have to earn his rematch. Obviously he can have a short route to the belt, even just 1 match against a contender depending on the status of the division.

Immediate rematches should be a rare exception, not the norm. Champions are often only defending once or twice a year, you have to keep the division moving.

Come on. Barao gets a rematch under Anderson clause, where no matter how badly he got beat, his previous dominance allows for it.

No, imho.

Dillashaw vs Assuncao should be next.

Barao should take some time to heal and let the division sort itself out. Then come back to fight a top 10 guy or two and try to go after the belt.

Come on. Barao gets a rematch under Anderson clause, where no matter how badly he got beat, his previous dominance allows for it.

But most of barao's dominance was not as champ. So only what he did as champ should be looked at.

I think he should het a contender and, if wins in dominant fashion, give him a rematch.

By the way, that's what I think will happen. But in the meantime, it's likely that Assuncao gets the belt too, unless TJ gives another show like he did against Barao.

Not no, but hell no. Enough with these pathetic rematches. If Barao wants a rematch he needs to work his way back up the ladder. The man got beat like a drum until he was stopped. If the fight would have went the distance it would have been 50-45 for Dillishaw. The UFC's rankings and match making are a joke.

It's easy enough to just toss him Mizugaki and let him earn the rematch.

No thanks.

Unless it was a close fight with a long time champ (Edgar-Penn 2), instant rematches are a waste of time.

IMO, no. He was not champ long enough to deserve a instant rematch. And he was outclassed for the whole fight. He needs at least 2 top 10 wins.

Ridiculous thinking, Renan dominated the BW scene for how many years??? Of course he deserves a rematch, a insta rematch if you ask me! In Brazil
