Does anyone still take Conor seriously?

Sherdog isn't representative of most fans. The casual fan outside of Ireland doesn't know diddly squat about McGregor's situations.
Hell I remember when ESPN ran the story about McGregor breaking that fan's phone and they made it out to be "yeah McGregor broke the law BUT the fan was invading his privacy."

That's why I compared him to Brett farve. Doesn't matter if it's blatantly stealing from Mississippi's social service programs, his drug history, his alcoholism, his domestic situations he gets a pass. Most people don't even know he was traded to Green Bay because he was addicted to pills in Atlanta.

Most people don't even know McGregor has even been accused let alone convicted in civil court.
 
Casuals, and that is all that matters when we are talking about the difference of making money and making big money.

I disagree. If people think about Conor McGregor at all, they think he's a piece of shit.


The average person either does not give a shit, at all, or they think he's a scumbag rapist.

The last story about him that appeared in mainstream media is the rape case. Which he lost.

Pretty sad story honestly. The reality is his performance inside the cage was not as good as it once was when he left the sport. That broken leg was a big issue for a while and obviously other demons have taken over since. If current Conor got in there with his prime self right now, Old and current Conor gets smashed. He knows it, and so do the rest of us. I honestly think he gets mauled by most 155 lbers at this point.
 
Still a Conor fan here, but would be shocked to see him fight again.
 
Watching Conor's downfall has been far more entertaining that any of that scripted nonsense he used to make all the fanboys swoon in awe over. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Here's to a wildly successful 2025 continued spiral out of control for Conor. If he's not going to entertain me by fighting in the octagon, I can at least enjoy his path to a different kind of cage.
 
I'm curious how a McGregor vs Chandler with a weak undercard would sell at this point. Would be interesting to see if he still has any selling power and if so how much.
