Does anyone know if there's footage of UFC pre-lim fights from UFC 1-10

That's even more insane. Secret fights only a few people who showed up early to early UFCs got to watch. Footage has to be somewhere....

Secret fights do exist, Keith Hackney supposedly fought and beat Thomas Ramirez in a smoker, there's more of those type of qualifying fights to enter into a UFC tournament.

Fascinating. One day people will look at early UFC fights like the early boxing ones and treasure the history. 90s seem so far away. Someone maybe will find bootlegs when they inherit someones grampa's things.

I was just a kid with UFC 1 jumping on PPV, so I had no chance my parents would let me watch the early ones, but I wanted to watch back then because I thought it was real WWF. Was close to ordering it because I was on vacation in the hotel room with my parents paying for the room. Too bad.

I was 8 when UFC 1 came out and not many knew exactly what it was some people said it was poor people that had no choice but to fight for the money lol, I saw my first mma of any kind in 1997 it was UFC 4 and I remember the Severn vs Macias and Mezger vs Fairn fights the most.

How much space does that take up? I need to get something like that, just all of them in digital format. I used to have 1-79 (70 something) on DVD in a collection, then the rest through 200 on DVDs lol. I had planned on ripping all of it to hard drives but... Sadly I no longer have them. Crazy ex-gf ended up with my entire dvd and blu-ray collection.
Its a terabyte external drive, I think my buddy has it right now but 1-97 full events but they are in standard quality then I have a shitload of pride fights on there and like 20 gigs of music.

There was a fighter who posted on here who was in one of those fights.

He was on sherdog way way way back in the day amd got in a fight with another fighter on here... Ken Or frank Shamrock or Bas.

It was Jason DeLucia I think.

Thread was still here archived I think.

Shit that's not terrible. I'm going to have to look into that. Someday I'll have a cool guy Plex server with a projector and shit. Old school fights playing on the side of the garage while BBQing would be quite nice.

Probably. I haven't looked at Fightpass in a while. If they would just air ALL the goddamn events there and give you full replays I would consider subscribing again.

You are the same age as me but unfortunately I wasnt introduced until 2002. It didnt take long to catch up though cause my buddy had a brother like 10 years older who recorded everything. Almost all my friends that use to get together for ppvs fell off though. I can say it was more exciting back then but I still enjoy the fights today.

I can't seem to find any of these, it seems like there may not be footage of some of these even on UFC fight pass, seeing these for the first time is amazing.
UFC 16 to my knowledge was the first event that actually showed the alternate bouts for the tournaments.
The days of unrecorded anything is over. It's weird to think there is some fights in the ufc that are just gone. Good luck hope you find em.
Not just a UFC fight with no footage but many fights that have never been seen, that's crazy to me and why doesn't zuffa have these, someone should raise this question next time there's a post fight or something directly to Dana I'm sure he wouldn't mind answering that.
Most of these early UFCs had zero prelims it was PPV broadcast only. Most of these lost fights were hours before the PPV they would have 1 or 2 bouts that were basically "win to be a possible injury replacement if need be".

Decent chance especially in the early days that the broadcast team didn't actually call most of these fights. Would be interesting to see if they even filmed these bouts

I wouldn't be surprised if a fight like Nick Sanzo vs Jackie Lee wasn't filmed, I'm pretty sure the Marcus Bossett fight against Eldo Xaviar is somewhere because the broadcast team said it was action packed so there has to be footage, if they didn't film most of these that's a shame but if so they should have had a special dvd release back in the 2000's maybe like an Ultimate pre-lim fight themed dvd back then.

Posted this in the Nelmark thread but here’s at least one OP. Steve Nelmark vs. Tai Bowden.

Maybe scroll through this guy’s TikTok and see if any of the other ones you listed are on there? He’s posted a shit ton of old fights.
