Does anyone else see Stipe out wrestling DC?

DC is gonna try to be all over Stipe like white on rice I think but I think Stipe will work on his cardio for this and be prepared for the kinda fight DC brings to the table

It's not like Cormier is a big mystery. He's gonna try and press and pressure Stipe and everybody knows it

This is the kinda fight DC wants to win any means possible.. Even if it means wall n stalling, lay n praying, etc he will take whatever road he can that he has an advantage of

It will be up to Stiopic to stifle that and execute a game plan specifically for Cormier and if he follows it and uses the tools he has he can win

who has picked DC apart with jabs? The GOAT Jon Jones maybe and that’s it. Nobody has been able to beat DC with a jab.
 
I see Stipe stuffing takedowns and lighting DC up with 1-2's.

Volkan is no speed demon and was landing round 1 vs DC. Stipe has about 5 inches of reach on Volkan and his boxing style based off straight punches more than Volkan.

He is also a way better wrestler and has the gas tank to go into the later rounds.

DC will have the speed advantage and could surprise Miocic but he could also jump into a big punch that lays him out. Both guys have great chins. so it could be a fight that goes into the 3rd or 4th.

I dont see DC being able to keep Stipe down if he gets him down. Every time Stipe gets back up, he has the chance to land the KO.

Yes he lost 2 at the Ncaa's.. But his record is remarkable.. He's beat All American Kyle and has placed pretty well..

I mean compare Brock his record is just as good as Cromier.. But absolutely gets destroyed in the cage.. Got toe locked by Frank Mir..

Just because a guy loses 2 in a row at the NCAA.. Does not mean he can not take down or beat Cromier..

Some of you guys comments is just absurd.

Stipe's ground game is good enough to go with Cromier.. His Boxing outclasses Cromier.. If DC wins it will be cause he just lays on Stipe but I don't really see him just being able to lay on Stipe..

And then I seen another guy go Stipe copy's Cromier and Cain style.. Like wtf.. You mean because they both wrestle and throw punches lul? In that case everyone that fights MMA is copying each other.. Oh wait they are fighting MMA right...

Stipe won't look to wrestle, no chance. He should however be able to keep the fight standing where he has a massive advantage. That long ass reach with his boxing ability and power... it's going to be a real problem.

It'll look a lot like the Gus fight except Stipe's power is on another level, obviously. DC gets stopped by strikes.

Tell me about the wrestling credentials of Gus and Jon Jones, please. Then tell me how DC wrestled against those guys.

It's easy to be overblown by the difference in the history of Stipe's and DC's wrestling before their MMA careers, but it needs to be remembered: Stipe had a divided attention, what with also pursuing a baseball career. He was also growing out of his bracket; the weight cut had become so brutal by the time he went 0-2 at the NCCAs that family pleading convinced him to stop wrestling shortly thereafter. Put the credentials in context.

But then, if you think it's sound logic to bring in DC winning against someone who wasn't even in the same bracket as Stipe just because they appeared in the NCAAs the same year...what chance has rational argument against you?

John Jones wrestling was less impressive than that in college as he never even made it to the NCAA yet outwrestled DC.

Wrestling credentials don't prove anything in an MMA match, just like being K1 champ doesnt mean you cant get knocked the fuck out my a better MMA striker.

Overeem(Roidlereem) won the K1 GP and has been KO'd by everyone under the sun in MMA because his defense sucks for MMA striking. With boxing glove on he just kept his hands up and blocked punches. In MMA that doesnt work.

DC will out-wrestle Miocic fairly easily, you will see.

You mean DC is going to pen Stipe and win? He takes Stipe down ok.. Stipe can take him down.. They stand up... Now we are in Stipe strong points.. DC takes stipe down... I get where your going with this.. But to think Stipe can't take DC down is a little crazy.. DC is not untakedownable.. like never has been never will be..

Now can stipe keep DC on the ground.. Eh maybe maybe not.. I think Stipe would rather have it standing up.. So that don't really matter.. DC is going to be the one that wants it on the ground..

Stipe held down Francis to keep from getting hit with one shot power.. He don't make a carrier out of smothering ppl like Daniel does..

Jones never qualified for the olympics yet he had no problems taking Cormier down. Stipe has at least as good wrestling as Jones and is a bigger guy naturally. There's no way DC slams Stipe.

This. I love DC but I just don't see him getting the W against Stipe. Stipe has too much chin, cardio intelligence and size.

The sad thing about this match... is Daniel really really needs this W to be even talked about..

If not he wasted his prime fighting a bunch of no ones for nothing.. Why he cries so much... He needed those Bones fights to cement himself as any good... He lost then Bones came on on PEDS... He cried for another chance..

Stipe in on the up swing.. Just took out the unbeatable Monster Francis.. Cromier is about to retire needs a big W to even be talked about.. If Cromier losses this he goes down as a guy that couldn't beat the best.. But could BULLY the hell out of no bodies that just got iinto mma last week.. As a Olympia that pushes himself to the limits.. haha joke..

If Stipe wins.. So what. Stipe won.. next.. Stipe took it for the money.. Cromier needs it for legacy.. Stipe already built his.. Daniel is just now thinking about fighting good fighters.. Cromier is a waste.. If he loses this and retires like lul..

Dana is probably on the phone right now asking Stipe to throw it so Daniel can go down as a somebody.
