Does anyone else see Stipe out wrestling DC?

I have to say, for such a high level wrestler DC is, he doesn't seem to have as good MMA DEFENSIVE wrestling. He aint no Jose Aldo. The man has problems with good wrestlers with a long reach who can really reach in and grab him and raise those fat little thighs of his in the air and due to his poor flexibility tumble over like humpty dumpty. I see Stipe stuffing all of his and taking down DC.

This fight will look like Stipe vs nelson and hunt. Easy work for the champ imo.

Rumble took DC down twice. Gus took him down as well.

KEEPING him down is another thing.

Even in the first fight with Bones when Jon was taking him down repeatedly in the 4th round, he was able to get back up to his feet quickly.

Stipe could conceivably land more TDs though, as he is a D1 wrestler and a huge, strong guy.

I think Stipe's jab will be more important than wrestling. DC isn't a wrestler inside the cage. At least, that is not what he is looking for. DC's game is to march you down, until you gas or give him a minimal risk opportunity to take you down. If you have a good jab, you can pick him apart.

Yes Stipe will outwrestle DC. He's gonna do it by mixing it with strikes for the TD's and by outpositioning him on the ground by using GnP. This is MMA, not wrestling. Stipe will destroy DC.

Daniel is on another level then Nelson and Hunt. I hope Stipe win but Cormier will win by decision and Stipe will be angry but Cain and Cormier first start fighting that way and Stipe copy them

Stopping some TD ? well yea, DC is older, shorter, fatter and seems to have a harder time with good long athletes see the Jones/Gus fights, even if he gets one he won't be holding him down for to much.

People are getting to hyped about this imo, Stipe wins decision most likely.. people will feel let down at the end of this one with their expectations.

I think mixing in offensive wrestling with DC would be a bad idea for stipe. Stipe may be able to get a short lived take-downs, but DC is great at getting up, and then stipe finds himself in the clinch with one of the best wrestlers in the sport.
