You are taking my statement out of context. I was simply replying to the guy that said McGregor had no business in the light weight division. When he is right there in the mix of the light weight division, as he just fought the number 1 contender twice and the light weight champ. If you want to argue whether he would competitive, that is a totally different argument.

Khabib has little to no ego. He's as humble as they come. You must not have ever seen or heard Khabib speak at all. He's the opposite of McGregor. He respects the game and opponents that showed him respect. McGregor is a child. He can take that trash to WWE, where it's normal.

Also that guy clearly doesn’t understand what “no heart” refers to in sports. Heart isn’t shown when you beg on your knees through tears to uncle Dana for immediate rematches you would never dare give yourself. Heart is not spinning a tale of all the awful things you will do to a fighter, only to have the exact opposite happen. Heart is not panic wrestling, running, clock staring, crying “it’s just business”, cheating in epic proportions, or rolling to give your back to a well known BJJ specialist after you were surprised you didn’t get the finish in the first. Even though the structure is stronger, getting hit on a metal plates and can really hurt, I have a couple one in my arm and one on my ankle, and it is no fun when something hits it

Not to mention the bone if more likely to break above or below the plate now than if there was no plate. It acts as a stress riser. The fact this this Orthopedic surgeon didn’t mention that (and he knows it) is why I said before the whole thing is click bait. Technically his leg his stronger. But his soft tissues will need to heal. The bone will need to heal perfectly. Etc etc before he even can get back to kicking full force if he ever does. And that doesn’t mention anything about the fibula plate which will very likely break if he tries to check a calf kick. Oh wait…

I had this same injury and yes mechanically the leg will probably be stronger than ever. The problem is that the area where both bones broke gets a ton of calcium growth and you don't have much meat on the front of your shin to absorb any impacts so it becomes a sensitive area to impacts.

It hasn't affected my life one bit since healed but I also can't imagine kicking something hard like an elbow or a knee. It would hurt more than taking your elbow and slamming it down on a granite countertop over and over.

Same. Had a Tib/fib fracture and a rod put in. It took me a year to even be able to sprint full speed confidently and it not swelling up on me.. I also never went back to training MT because the fear of injuring myself again. But I didn’t go through any physical therapy and decided to just do it myself. Props to any athlete that continue after such a break.

I guarantee damn T for sure that if Poirier and Conor fight again, Conor gets obliterated from pillar to post from the get go & gets submitted via triangle after Conor panic wrestles.
