The old days of MMA where people had specific skillsets and no training in other areas were fun, no doubt about that. But given the choice, I'd take the current UFC with multi-talented well rounded fighters up and down the roster. I enjoy a good freakshow fight every now and then, but at the end of the day I'll always choose a real high level fight between two elite opponents with well-rounded skillsets.

I'm going to have to say I dont miss that because now you have more even fights usually.
What I do miss is it used to be ours.
It wasn't something everyone watched or even knew about...it was like a private club in that sense.

Now it's so mainstream that fighters have to put on clown makeup and act.
Act like a douche, act anyway to get their social media numbers up.

That part of it can fuck right off.
I miss fighters being able to be individuals, like Alistair carrying that huge hammer to the ring, I miss the SHOW. The old heads will understand, but the fighting overall is better now.
