I need them but I'm stubbornly refusing to get them for as long as I can.

I don't want to admit that I'm at that stage in life.

Four-eyes here. I've needed them since I was 9. Horrible vision from distance. I've used contacts in the past, but didn't like them. I will probably get Lasik when the current ones are finished.

I wear reading glasses. I started doing so last year. Don't like it, but I'm learning to adapt.

Yes, only to see far away. My people aren't on the poll.
<DCrying>

I only need them to see things within about 6 feet. As I got old, my eyes won't change shape enough to focus as things get closer.

No, because I'm not a NERD!!

Can't see shit though.

Only nerds wear glasses

42 yo, blind crew checking in.

Eyesight was fine until 40, regular gym goer, 6’2, built like a brick out house, could go 5 times a night, handsome etc.

Boom.

Lockdown happens, gyms out the window, mild alcoholism begins, blindness begins, lucky if I can go 5 times a year and beginning to shrink.

In the space of 2 years, I’ve turned in to my dad.

For reading only. But now I find myself wearing them when watching TV too.

Only if I want to see clearly. I find the world a much more enjoyable place when I can't make out all the ugly details though.

Im actually the only person in my family that doesnt wear glasses I have excellent eyesight.

I remember the eye tests in grade school when they had a paper chart set up, we sat in a chair and they asked what letters we saw. It started at the top with one really big letter and proceeded with increasingly smaller letters lower on the chart. They asked if I could read letters in the bottom line. I read d e n o y e r g e p p e r t. The nurse conducting the test pointed to a line and asked if I was reading that. I said no, I was reading the bottom line. She said the line she was pointing to was the bottom line. I walked up to the chart and pointed at the line I read. It was the name of the company that made the eye chart.

Yes. It keeps me from accidentally burning people with my eye lasers.

i used to only wear glasses when i would drive at night. but i realized that my sight is terrible during the day as well. so i now generally wear glasses at all times. i will occasionally not wear glasses, just to have a different look. but in general, i do wear glasses.

Yea, four eyed fucker checking in.

Distance only , can read fine, issue is anything further than about 5 or 6 feet away is out of focus , the further away it is the worse it becomes.

Pain in the arse because I am often putting glasses on/off

i remember having to drive about fifty miles back home one night, without glasses. and holy shit, it was one of the scariest things i ever did. everything was a complete blur. cars looked like moving lights. i couldn't make out objects. i couldn't read freeway signs. the only way i made it home, was because i knew the general distance and large landmarks that let me know when to get off. i couldn't read any of the streetlights, and guessed the streets to go to my way home.

after that, i immediately made an appointment to get glasses.
