Even if Weidman stood up after being knocked down, he would still lose the round by 9-10, though he was 20-18 ahead on scorecards of two judges. It means that if he was not KOed but was just knocked down in the third round, he would win via SD (29-28, 29-28, 28-29).

Kennedy and Jacare were both much bigger than Kelvin and much more accomplished grapplers but Kelvin fucked them up. Weidman was just the better fighter
