Do you think this dad went too far punishing his son for disrespecting his teacher?

Do you think this guy went too far? Corporal punishment for his son for disrespecting his teacher

Not sure if I necessarily agree with his methods. The kid could learn teh jab and beat his dad, and then what?

But this is better than no discipline. It's good for a child to have a strong father figure who cares about their character

This kid dreams of kicking his old mans ass one day. a lot of kids get it with a belt or knuckles or worse. If nothing else it probably sinks in more than taking away the kids PlayStation. If I fuck up dad will box my shit up

When the kid gets suspended for kicking some other kids ass at school I wonder what the dad will say. I think he'd be proud depending on why the kid was fighting. Or maybe not. What a video.

Dad of the year or CPS call. Kids need discipline. ,I'm not sure what I think of this. It's not like Dad came home drunk and was beating his kid for no reason.

I'm sure this dad will get a lot of hate. I bet this kid doesn't disrespect his teacher again

better than not having a dad around. kids need discipline and strong leadership

I don’t agree with it. And I’m someone who sparred with his dad a lot as a kid. But he was never angry while we did it. And he never hit me hard.
Someone else brought this up, but what happens when this kid can beat up his dad? All he has learned is that might makes right.

Both need to work on their boxing. Hard to know how appropriate it really was but sometimes dads need to send a strong message. If this is one of those times then so be it.

The dad can discipline the kid but don’t film it and show the world.
I agree with this. I like that the dads method of discipline being boxing and the kid was able to fight back if he had the skill. I don't like the filming of it makes it seem like he did it for attention, also this world is super soft he may get himself into some trouble.

At the bottom of this is a dad who wants his kid to do the right thing. I think. And he's doing it the way he thinks is best.

Naw, at the bottom of this is a pathetic man that needs to beat up his own kid to get temporary relief from his insecurities and feelings of powerlessness.
