Not rip it up- just rationalize that their side is the one that follows the Constitution no matter how absurd the claim is. People twist its meaning for their own purposes almost as much as they do the Bible/Quaran.
 
This country started declining after the 1965 immigration act

Test scores started to take a nosedive
Crime started going through the roof
Cities became dirty
 
1) There are always plenty of problems, but our society likely has less problems than any major large society has ever had; the opposite of what everyone says is the truth- it is MORE tolerant than other places, not less. Even smaller places that are claimed to be utopias like the Nordic countries have their share of problems (even though problems are easier to manage in smaller populations).

Social division is our biggest problem- the gap is large between what the two sides want. That has the potential to lead to more misery than any other problem- total societal collapse eventually if things continue to get worse (not anytime soon though, things are still relatively good). The media (mainstream, podcasts, social media) and politicians are problematic for magnifying this, but the division is nevertheless the main problem. Education and healthcare are also places that need fixing.

2) It won't be fixed in the current system- we can only hope for social evolution to a positive place.

3) The Constitution needs to do more to take money out of politics. It will never be perfect, and rich people will always find ways to influence, but it could really be improved.

4) I am best described as a classical liberal (most people just say libertarian, but that isn't exactly correct as I'm more open to some amount of government and regulation than the staunch libertarians). Libertarians have a range of views that is wider than most ideologies, which is a good fit for me because I don't exactly agree with any ideology or party; I don't vote for libertarians much because they can't usually win (so I vote for the least damaging candidate). Not a fan of Dems or Reps, much I don't like about both.
 
You have troops being deployed in your own cities because of political differences, criminals pardoned based solely on party affiliation and superior courts that just do nothing. Do you really have to ask that question?

Maybe you are oblivious to this because you've taken democracy for granted for too long, but us third worlders recognize what we are seeing and know exactly how it all ends, unfortunately.

1. Numerous. Not following laws/the Constitution and corporate influence being the two most noteworthy to me at the moment, though there's numerous social issues too where part of the country keeps continually stifling progress. The destruction of science and medicine presently taking place as well. The Supreme Court needs to be heavily reformed. I think there should be more justices, possibly term limits, and more or at least more enforcement of ethics codes. They should be very stringent. There needs to be accountability for powerful people.

2. Not without heavy reformation and I certainly hope it doesn't go beyond that.

3. Utilizing Constitutional amendments more. It's a living document and we're in a changing world and a very different one from when it was created.

The constitution has not failed america so much as america has failed to uphold the constitution. The 4th amendment was the first to go, and the people were ok with it because of "safety", "security", and of course "think of the children".

Now we are sliding down a slippery slope.

You have the NEPO BABIES who are the business owners, who are insanely greedy and narcissistic and asshole human beings, they want to take more money and more power, without ever paying their employees more money. Then when they retire from whatever company they own, they'll leave it into the hands of a more nepotistic baby who has more greed and more narcissism, and it keeps going. Over the last 20 years, greed has gotten OUT OF FUCKING CONTROL. Hundreds of millions of dollars (infinite money) isn't enough for these people, they need everything.

THEN

You have the majority of the rest of the population, who are born to parents who don't give a fuck about them, never wanted to have a kid, and they think providing food and shelter is all a parent needs to do. Ignore them, let them fester in depression and make them feel like truly no one cares in the world, and then they stop caring. They don't give a fuck about how anyone else suffers, they just don't care about anything but themselves, no empathy no compassion. "MY PARENTS DIDN'T CARE ABOUT ME SO FUCK YOU."

You can tell how fucked the MAGA crowd is in the brain, because if a Democrat was given a free jet and signed an agreement to have a Qatar airbase in the USA, they would be losing their minds and already ready for civil war. But because it's someone on their "team", it's totally fine.

Not so much the Constitution has failed, but that it hasn't been updated and most of what makes a democracy function is institutions and tradition, not a magical document, which is what most people tend to treat it as.

Make no mistake about it—shit in this country will only get worse in the coming years, and the same idiots who claimed that kicking out all the illegals and banning transgender people would make everything great again, will have nothing to say about it. They'll just find the next minority to blame—like all Fascists.
 
Anyone pretending we have The Constitution in the administrations eyes when our current president pardoned a bunch of guys who beat the fuck out of our cops is unAmerican and hates our country.
