If you want to consider post-war expulsion as "ethnic cleansing" then cool, but what you have accept that expulsion is part of war. People leave by choice when they realize their side is losing, if they're smart, and a lot of Palestinians weren't. Hundreds of thousands left by choice and those that stuck around did so foolishly or with the belief that their side would win, also foolish. If that's "ethnic cleansing" then so be it, but now it's your term to apply that far more liberally and without such a stigma. So Ben Shapiro supports ethnic cleansing. Cool. So do I then and so do you under the right circumstances, right?

it's not particularly far-flung to pick sides on the issue and make arguments for separatism and removals here, removals there, all that other angry stuff

when you start expanding the way you talk about these issues (set in any region of the world) to the traits of ethnicities involved in them, you start losing control and I think Shapiro did that

I side with empiricism on these things, if the total cost of the region is lives, you leave. Both sides. Let the birds walk the fucking fields, they won't be mortaring settlements. Everybody lost their recess privileges to play in that sandbox when they killed any of the other kids who joined them
