You shouldn't extrapolate your own perceptions onto others in this area. It's great you have a diverse range of interests and a worldview that means you couldn't personally think of settling prior to 30.
But others have a different outlook and thats totally valid also.
The biological imperative is also widely different for females than males, and also wildly different within the gender. It's not something we can easily relate to.
And take it from someone who has just been through two pregnancies over several years and several issues including assisted reproduction... 30 - 35 does represent a potential step change in risk factors and challenges.
