Belal should get a title shot, hes the most worthy contender and he earned his spot undoubtedly.

The question is do we want to see it? Do we NEED to see it? I dont see Belal threatening Leon on the ground in any way besides just holding on to him for dear life, at least until Leon gets up again, and hes going to get absolutely smoked standing. Theres a reason Leon has been offered pretty much everyone besides him for 300, Belal is enough of a badass to fight during ramadan, but for such a huge event it would be an absolutely embarassing main/co-main event, and the clowning from the community would never stop. Its a "alrights lets just get this over with" type of fight, that unfortunately needs to happen for the integrity of the sport to remain unharmed.

Leons a weird dude. Has all the talent but mentally I don't always have that much confidence in him. Belal could take it. Wouldn't surprise me. If anyone can follow a gameplan to a tee it's belal.

Mentally he has not shown any weakness in my humble opinion. He doesn’t really trash talk but he says what he thinks and has never been afraid to fight anyone.

He also waited a stupidly long time to get his title shot and he maintained his composure all this time to get the title in SLC.

If that isn’t mental fortitude I don’t know what is.

Huh? Belal has long been one of the most active among ranked WWs. The only reason we’re nearing a year since his last fight is because he was promised a title shot but they keep screwing him around.

I would not be surprised if the UFC totally F^(&s Belal out of a title shot. He deserves one IMO. He isn't a fan Fav though. He's middle eastern. His grinder style is unappealing to many detractors. It will suck for Belal if he gets passed up but it wouldn't be the first time the UFC screwed a fighter over.

When you look back at the first fight, Leon was piecing him up. I wonder if the UFC feels the same way about the competitiveness of a second fight. If you're worried about Belal's star power, easily, the UFC could make this a co-main to another bigger fight. Leon is game to fight anyone, but the UFC is not as game for this fight.
