I mean the guy obviously has earned his right to fight for the belt, but it seems like the UFC is delaying it for some reason. Or they hope to have some other guy take his place like Shavkat.

I don't know what's going on. So what do you guys think, we'll he get his shot?

Shavkats manager said he isn't returning until fall due to Ramadan and also healing injuries. He accepted Jack's callout too.

Unless they want Leon to sit out over a year Belal has to be getting the shot by summer. It literally makes no sense at all not to book that fight at this point. There is no one else in contendership besides Shavkat and Jack who want to fight each other, Ian who just won a mid decision and called out Colby, Kamaru and Colby both lost to Leon.

It's bizarre the Belal fight hasn't been announced yet.

Nobody expects him to beat Leon and most of us think he's boring but he earned what he earned.
Leons a weird dude. Has all the talent but mentally I don't always have that much confidence in him. Belal could take it. Wouldn't surprise me. If anyone can follow a gameplan to a tee it's belal.

We've seen Leon become a 5 round phenom.

It's hard to doubt his tools when he bests guys like Usman and Colby.

Belal's mental fortitude doesn't raise any questions but I don't think he has the skills, athleticism, or body type to beat guys like Leon outside of improbable scenarios.

All the top guys he beats are way past their prime.

He has the tools but he did fumbled the fuck out of that last rd w Colby and he very nearly gave up on himself in the first Usman fight.

I doubt it just because there's still no word of them reaching out to him. Nothing.

Also, Dana seems reluctant whenever asked about if that could be next. So I've got the feeling they will try and skip it.

They’re aging him out and will make him fight a top contender who will beat him. My money is on no.

I agree it's very bizarre. That why it makes me wonder if the UFC is really intrigued to see this fight, which it seems like they are not.
