Before the fight against Gane I thought Jones ducked Tom and he was afraid of him, and tom would definitely beat Jones.

After the debacle that is eye gate, I'm in the camp of Jones would beat Tom and he shouldn't have ducked him. It's obvious Tom is a mental midget.

I personally don't think it's about ducking him, I just dont think jones heart is in it anymore he's on the retirement tour of his career, he wants to fight fights that mean something to him. I don't think tom aspinall is a fighter he respects or is inspired/influenced by. Jones always gave stipe his props, beating stipe meant something to him (even if it shouldn't). Islam makachev probably feels the same way about beating usman. (even though he shouldn't) but for these guys at this point in their career they know on paper a win over stipe/usman who is a mutliple time defending champion will look better on paper, and they'll always be able to say they fought the "best of the best" (even if they are at the worst of their worst) Beating aspinall or morales in the same paralel TO THEM, is just like any other title fight. TO THEM, it doesn't feel like a special acheivement. we as fans don't care about the personal whims of these mma fighters careers but rather. they want to fight who is the best from a career perspective. We want them to fight who is a best from a RIGHT NOW perspective.
