For all you guys that are married, looking back now with hindsight would you not get married if you can turn it back?

Just wondering...

I divorced my first wife, she seemed to regret something. Very happy with wife number 2 and I don't think I get here without the experience of my first marriage... So no regrets

28 years married.

I could not imagine going through life with no one to share it with. Growing old lonely and alone.

I think Eva Longoria has it right.

I don't regret getting married at all. I have 2 wonderful kids because of it, and I had exclusive rights to some prime poontang for a long time. And if I'm honest, her ridiculous spending forced me to level up my game at work so I could get promoted and make more money, so some good did come out of her bad habit.

However, it's possible that we end up divorcing in the future, and I won't regret that either.

I don't regret it but marriage itself means nothing to me, just a legal document, barely even that

Choosing to be with someone and getting married aren't always the same thing

I made it clear that my wife had to eliminate debt and pay off her credit cards. I offered I'd do it for her but then I would have access to all her spending habits from now on. She thanked me and fixed it herself. I recently told her she'd be broke and have nothing to show for it if it weren't for me and she agreed. About to have our 2nd kid and she's in line with cooking more and maintaining a good life at home. Fuck Instagram lifestyles. After the kids are grown I might just go live in a shack in the woods the rest of my life, but I'm on a mission for the next 20 years now

This is pretty spot on. The entire length of my marriage I have never worn a wedding ring outside of my wedding day. Never felt the need to. She’s never asked me to. We know we are together. Although…she does love her wedding ring set, lol.

Ok so im exactly your post and have lived thru the whole thing. except she leveled up her work game while we were married and neither of us ever had crazy spending habits. Now divorced. And I'm still deciding if its a good thing or bad thing. or is it just what happens. Had many new lays, had new love, had new love end, had success at work, basically, life has gone on. Life goes on and you either make the most or you wallow and become depressed
had a few drinks tonight while watching the fights. Yes I got into it with my boy over how our family life has gone and wrestled/fought my 16 year old son in the kitchen, former high school wrestler, tonight. I think he needed it.
Ended up having a decent talk with him. Definitely regret it all, but thats life

Life is a bitch sometimes.

A shack in the woods doesn't sound bad at all
Peace and quiet and a woodburning fire every night sounds like a decent life.

I'm definitely going to have a firepit this spring/ summer and an axe and and lots of kindling I chop myself
