It was the 170lb tournament finals, and Hornbuckle was a proven finisher coming off four straight finishes in Sengoku and Bellator. The way Askren chained his takedowns together in the opening round was the epitome of "there's levels to this shit", and just highly entertaining chain wrestling / ground dominance.

The thing that I remember the most about it wasn't just that the submission was great. Gaethje landed so many HARD calf kicks on Khabib by that point in the fight, I was thinking to myself "How the fuck is Khabib still standing?!?"
