Do you like Jon Jones?

Proud Jones hater, here. He seems like a garbage human being and obviously a dirty fighter. It blows my mind that he’s not in prison by now, but I think it’s only a matter of time before he does something stupid again. I just hope he doesn’t seriously hurt anybody next time.

That said, I have no doubt that his clinical psychopathy has contributed to his talent and accomplishments as a fighter. If you discount PEDs as criteria, he’s easily the best MMA fighter of all time, and it’s not even close. It demonstrates how much potential people may unlock if they become untethered by shame or decency.

If you’re seeing this David jackson jones, this is what I mean. There are more criticisms than just PEDs to level at the man, but his “haters” still defend him

That’s true, but my hatred of his fans motivated me to look into it, and at this point if I said “he is the greatest of all time” I’d be lying to myself to fit in with the sherdog consensus it seems. Still one of the greatest but not the greatest, and it just irks me at this point

And it's not like his decision wins are barn burners either - OSP, Santos, Smith, Reyes were all awful snoozefests. His only appeal is that he is undefeated, and that has a major asterisk next to it, as we all know. I can honestly say that I will not miss him when he retires.

Gotta admit I've never thought he's been particularly exciting to watch. (Jones v Gus is one of my fave UFC fights though)

Feelings are mixed on his PED history, and before you @ me I sincerely DGAF what ya think about it, don't waste your energy.

I love watching him fight though. My MMA, and most other sports, fanmanship begins and ends on/in the field/ court/ cage, so that's all that really matters to me.
