Do you have any debt? If so how much?

Just my home.. still owe 1.7 million on the mortgage.

Yep. That's pretty similar to me/us. I'm not on income based, so I'm paying the actual minimums. I could throw an extra 3-400 a month at them, but by the time my savings was enough to do that I was in a position to save for an engagement ring. Now saving for wedding. So nothing but minimums for two years

Fiancé is on income based, so hers will shoot up to be more than mine once we combine. I think our minimum monthly for student loans will be over $1200 a month

Not sure we'll ever own a house. Hoping to rent one instead of just apartment living tho

Roger. ..just got married myself..spent all last year saving for that expense. Luckily we did it without taking debt... still hurt tho.

What about a 2 or 3 family where your tenants pay your mortgage? Instead of a grand for rent and 1300 on loan you can drop all 2300 on the loan while paying down the mortgage on a future rental property.

once im through with grad school ill be looking at about 100k in student loans. thats about it.

Just shy of $200k on a house currently valued at around $750k. Will be a bit more once I've extended it and rebuilt the kitchen - might have to borrow a bit to finish the work though, which is annoying. Building work in the U.K. is fearsomely overpriced.

I owe about $50,000 on a house I just bought and that's the only debt- first time ever borrowing money and I'm almost 40.

Or debt will go up though as my wife plans on buying another house within a year.
