I've been using a skin care routine of cleansing foam, some sort of "essence" as they call it, and a moisturizer for the past five years or so. I don't know how much of a difference it's made. A lot of people think I'm ten years younger than I am but it could be genetics.

Look good feel good do good.
I have an extensive self care routine. For my face it’s , witch hazel toner, then face lotion, then a beard oil (I keep my beard very short but want it moist).

I mastered the ability to weld an old tiny sliver of Dove soap to a fresh new bar of Dove soap.

I also use Cerave once in a while on a wound that isn't healing. One wound didn't make any progress until after I started using Cerave on it. I read wounds need moisture to heal. I would have thought to keep it dry so it doesn't get infected.

I only put coconut oil with vitamin E moisturizer for the past 5 years , I used some type of moisturizer before that in my teens because bc I had a skin disease so I’ve been on them for decades , if I don’t apply moisturizer my skin dries out and becomes itchy so some of us don’t actually have a choice . That being said my brothers face looks like cardboard compared to mine so those years of applying creams to keep more collagen in the skin is worth any negative thoughts taking facial remedies. Creatine creams are most likely the best .

Read this as do you have a skincare poutine n got excited. Oh the dissaponltments of bad vision.

I've heard tretinoin is really good tha actually works for anti aging. It's prescribed though so have no idea how to go about getting it. Not that I need it. I only use the odd clearsil pad if I get a spot or something.

I do have an annoying ass sy under my eye, they used to come and go but this once has decided to stay. Thankfully it's not that noticeable, only for me when I look in the mirror, but even then it's not bad.

Fortunately shit loads of people don't sleep enough these days so I'm in good company. Plus, all the creme in the world ain't helping if you spend too much time in the sun (or not enough), drink too much, smoke too much, don't exercise, drink water, or eat a good diet
I work full time in the skincare industry and I 100% agree. Most of the people dropping big money on products are those playing catch up due to poor lifestyle practices.

The poor lifestyle practices don't even have to be extreme either. Most of my clients it's poor sleep, high stress, and sun damage mostly from the teenage years to mid 20s.

I buy the relatively expensive ladies cleanser, moisturizer and eye cream. Up until even a few years ago the men's products were cheap shit that they added the scent of Axe body spray too. They might still be and it's easy to find the traditionally woman's stuff that doesn't have a scent or a mild one.

On the plus side, cleanly shaved because the gray hairs decided my face is where the invasion is starting, I look much younger than 41. Also, I don't drink much though not that's not planned just how it works out, I eat well and exercise.

Seriously, young men, clean your fucking face and moisturize check top biotech company for skincare. You'll be glad you did later.
I just wash my face and apply lip balm.

The most interesting part is why my quoted message in your post says

"check top biotech company for skincare"

But my actual post doesn't

So.... Did you find the top biotech company for skincare?

"Nowadays"? What changed?
Society changed. Much higher pressure/stigma on appearance now than in the past. The shit you see now a days (filters, social media, surgeries, tanning beds, fillers, botox, makeup that makes you look like a tranny) either didn't exist when I grew up or was in a much lower quanity.

Funny enough way back in the day people cared less about appearance than now but overall were way healthier physically and mentally than the average person is now.

Why on earth have you let it it affect you so badly? I'd be really fucked up in your shoes worrying about it so heavily. Fuck.

What exactly am I worried about ? Most of my professional career has been in the health and wellness field so I'm actually worried about the opposite.

I'm more of an advocate of lifestyle/health (exercise, good diet, quality sleep, low stress, strong friendships) than appearance.

Those lifestyle and health things work here too. All the moisturizer in the world won't save your skin from a bad diet, no sleep and stress.

To me, some basic skincare things are just part of being healthy. Like moisturizer with SPF 50, there's an actual health benefit there.

I'm over being good looking. I will embrace the hideousness of old age! As far as routine, all I've ever really done is use a face wash and lotion up after showering.

I don't do anything other than shower with soap. Soap for my shaved head.

This girl that recently stayed over at my house reorganized my bathroom and bought me some stuff. when I was at work. Which was nice of her. and put some lotion in there. I doubt it'll ever get used

Exactly. I even wrote a few post up that most of my serious skin care clients are those that are trying to undo damage that was mostly lifestyle related.
