Don't forget Google also owns Boston Dynamics, so they got people making robots to house their AI. Google is skynet!.
They all sound cool except for the diabeetus contacts. Those fat bastards need to deal with the anguish of having to prick themselves to measure their beetus levels every day
One missile is all it takes to sink a ship now though, and floating out in the ocean is much less discreet than hiding your servers in random warehouses. Google the exocet used in the falklands war.
It only costs 200k to sink a billion dollar ship.
I'm no CT'er but I have pretty serious concerns about what those robots could be used for with the right AI and weapons. I don't really think that's a joke. Have you seen what those things can do? Now, make them semi-intelligent and network them together, scary stuff.Don't forget Google also owns Boston Dynamics, so they got people making robots to house their AI. Google is skynet!.

and Teleportation, which was found to violate the laws of physics.
I feel the same way. Google acquired Boston Dynamics, which makes robots. They are partnered with D Wave Systems, which makes quantum computers. And the D Wave Systems founder said they are actively trying to make AI and that quantum computers will help greatly for that.
So you combine a worldwide wireless network infrastructure, robots, and AI to put in the robots, and that equals....well I don't know. But it doesn't sound too good.
But that's just the thing, if you have a worldwide wireless network, the AI doesn't need to reside in the robots. They can all be run by the one supercomputer, or quantum computer if they ever get to practicality.I feel the same way. Google acquired Boston Dynamics, which makes robots. Edit: and no, I didn't read that on some website, it's just logic. What I am more worried about is having them be semi-autonomous with human-provided instructions, like find everyone in sector 7G that fits a certain description and disappear them.
Fucking LOL!
Eventually the citizenry needs to just storm all their facilities with torches, pitchforks and explosives and take care of this problem once and for all.
The funny thing is, in principle, I love seeing money being spent on pure research that might not pay off for decades. That's how Bell Labs made so many great discoveries. The problem is that all signs point to far less altruistic designs on the part of Google.America's ruin, if it ever comes to that, will be from the inside. That's my feel anyway.
